So if someone wanted to mod this game, what does that involve? Scripting? Coding? Hex editing? Also, what people in the community know the most about it? Are there any guides that start at the beginning instead of talking to you already know what you're doing? Thanks ahead of time for any help anyone can be. :)

I posted this a week ago, and not a single reply? What the heck man? Where are all the modders?

Maybe I should start with something specific? I'd like to know how to carry over a character from one map to another, including everything he's carrying or driving. And if he's driving something that's towing a gun. Is there a way for all that to carry over into the next map? What if there are multiple characters, vehicles, and towed guns? Is there a way to add the tow ability to a tank?

What about skills? Is there a way to add a skill system? Something simple, nothing complex with windows or anything. You know like, you gain proficiency with a weapon class the more you use it. That kind of thing, and maybe a speech window can pop up saying something like, "Hey, I think I'm getting the hang of this".

You should really visit dms developer forums for this subject.

GEM editor allows you to mod/map/script a lot. As far as carrying over whatever you had in previous mission its possible to do it with some knowledge, there is also a project called dynamic campaign generator that does just that, although they upgrading it to work properly with new game version.

Can you link me to any news or threads about that new editor? I'm very interested in learning more about it. :D

Editor comes with the game, dms forums have a lot of resources in both mow and mowas modding forum sections.

Dynamic campaign generator isn't an editor? Is it a mod or addon or something?

I understand you've taken time out of your day to try and be helpful, but I think there's some kind of confusion. I'm planning to make a mod, and have been looking for the right game and engine to do it on. When I started coming up with ideas for this mod, I instantly thought of Soldiers:Heroes of WWII, but the engine and the game were sorely out of date. This game however, is basically the same with a newer engine and more up to date graphics. The editor seems easy to use, I like the inventory system, the vehicles, containers, direct control, etc. I'm not looking for a random level generator, unless it has some kind of improved campaign editor... which is what I thought you were talking about....
