Since .ru Lockon been censored what do you think of the Russian Sims future for the west ?
1C and Eagles dynamics.
Lockon directly enter in conflict with Russian materials and locations that are still in action.
They are military connected so i wonder what will happen.

Good question...definitely complicated and not surprising that it was censored. Might be here too.

1C makes good games...and they are in a worldwide market now. Hopefully these conflicts will be smoothed out diplomatically and we can go on to enjoy some good games. Rather have the conflict in the game than in real life.

This problem with Russia and US/EU will touch everything as we know now.. I hope peoples will not mix Russian military politics and many other Russian peoples here in the states. A good example was with the Iraq war and Iraqi in the US as well as the French leaving in the states etc..

I hope for the best but something is changing and changed already.

Well, nobody can stop us playing a bit of LockOn every now and then. That is something that cannot be censored, but then most countries know the specs of these a/c anyway. I doubt we will have much of the newer a/c being in any sims in near future though.
I remember back in the cold war days, playing F117-Stealth Fighter on the Commodore 64, doing strikes on Russian destroyers and Sub pens close to Norway. The Russian defenses were really tough too :)). was great fun. The developers, Microprose got the FM completely wrong, but i dont think anyone knew what it flew like outside of the military anyway.
I have freinds who i've flown with in Russia, Georgia, Czech, Germany etc... we never talk politics, just have fun, and thats the way its supposed to be. Its a shame a few spoil it for the many.

Been Off since all the Politics started to go on between USA and Russia.. more than 2 days..
The page official is On ofcourse but where peoples can argue is not and i'm sure there is a good reason and not for maintenance..

Yes in some ways Lockon is not like IL2 on that matter, DCS is doing something on Military training something unlike IL2.. But i think that turning off a forum where a subject West - East can be destructive on many subjects so they rather been censored or to ovoid many flaming posts they decide to turn it off til clarification.

What do yo think Yvan? what is your point of view on website locked ?

This is the only questions i will ask you and surely not what you think about those 2 countries attacking each other or possibility of Nuking poland .. We will not go there i want to be clear and i hope that no one will do this subjects here.

Can't possibly be what happened 3 or 4 times this year, that the server simply crashed or the provider had technical problems, as it also was stated on SimHQ by Wags, an official spokesman of DCS.

Besides that, what possible sense in a way GOZR tries to cause a hysteria here, would it make to only crash the forum, but keep the main-site alive? To keep you bada$$ US people out of the forum? Ridiculous. As if Russia would even care.


As with most topics on this forum, you people should learn to inform yourself, BEFORE you claim something totally wrong, massively offending other people and spreading your own paranoid conspiration theories. :rolleyes:

Feuerfalke there are official sited to state the problem , Simhq has nothing official in my book.. If Wags want to say something to the community he should do it through the official sites IMO. This are just question in the above thread not affirmations .

Many sites in the past turned down for a while their Forums to ovoid this kind of aggressive answers like you did . And today with the War and the political tensions could be a good case to keep some heat out the forum at list for a moment. Completely understandable .

What is offensive is stealing other addons 3D or textures arts and using it in an other Sim and changing it's creator name... ever since i will never trust any others and as well as officials..

Well, GOZR, if you want to spread your personal opinion, go on.

I am not Russian, but even I feel offended by the cold war attitude in your posts and I feel offended by your attitude towards that project and the people working on it. These guys finished an A-10 simulator for the USAF and are working on an C-130-simulator right now. What possible sense would it make to stop foreign people access to their forums?


But after that post I think it's pretty clear, that you take any given fact in the way you want it, no matter if that is true or not.

So, this is just another way to fish for some official comments, this time on the back of a war. Tasteless IMHO.
