Hi guys,

Yesterday, I had a crack at disabling UP3 and installing 4.11 to the stock game, just to see if it really is worth it. Also tried running JTSM with 4.11, but appears not to work.

So after having a go with 4.11, I re-enabled UP3 thinking that it would just keep running off 4.10.1 instead of 4.11. Got halfway through the opening screen when AVG decides it's going to make my day, isolating il2fb.exe as a very-high-level security risk and wiping it off the face of my hard drive. Did the same thing to the JSGME when I tried to disable UP3 again. So there on the spot I completely uninstalled everything IL-2-related, including the file path.

This morning, I'm re-installing everything from fresh again. I have now added il2fb.exe to the AVG excpetion list, but on beginning the install process, an error message appears:

Error 1310.Error writing to file C:\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik\il2fb.exe. Verify that you have access to this directory.

This error box has three options, Abort, Retry and Ignore. Retry brings up the same error, Abort ends the install wizard while Ignore returns the following error message:

Error 1334. The file '_4DCE1A1E606945F1AE30D7D2EC2C2ECD' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet file 'Data1.cab'. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

So, evidently AVG still hates me and I don't know what exactly to do about it. Any and all help greatly appreciated.
Scott.

AVG Free once put my il2fb.exe in the quarantine file as a trojan.

I went it and brought it back out and told AVG is was okay.

It also did it when I updated to a later version of IL-2.

Thanks all, I tried installing using admin profile and that worked. Turns out it was probably another one of those "technical" errors that are really "You're not admin so you can't do this" errors in disguise.

Thanks anyway! :)
Scott.
