That looks great. How did you do that? Photoshop and a lot of patience?

The image is made of about 120 different parts the lens flare is made from 30 individual elements!
In total about 16 hours work, including re-painting the ends of the wings which didn't have red and yellow tips when Art made the kill! :(
I will release a desktop version in the next couple of days, if anyone wants it?
Cheers, MP.

Great work =)
I'd be very happy if you'd post the desktop-version!
Nice. Where did you get that cirrus cloud pic from? I'm looking for good cirrus pictures, but with minimum angle distortion. Sat pics are best, but too low resolution since they are so high.

The clouds were shot from my Back Garden on a Nikon D3 with a Nikkor 80-200mm VR Zoom. The file size is 4256x2832 uncropped and 50mb in size, that's generally how I get my cloud shots. Patience and more patience!!
I just increased the contrast a little and added a little saturation to make it look like I'd used a polarising filter.
I agree though that getting cloud shots is hard.
I have a friend with a helicopter who has agreed to take me up, as long as it's praticle, the next time we get some good cloud cover. I can then get some aerial shots looking down over the cloud base...if it all works out, with some low sunlight shining across them! Here's hoping for that to work out!
BTW I am a Professional Photographer, so I carry a camera with me always, and that's how I get my cloud shots. I see it, I take it!
Cheers, MP
Interesting! I have "always" been thinking about getting into weather photography, just never got round to it.
Will the helicoptor pilot fly high enough to get above the clouds?

Depends on how high the cloud base is! lol.
Thanks Thunderbolt, I'll drop a 1680x1050 version up for you lot probably tomorrow. Full size image is on my home PC, and I'm on work one for the next couple of days :(
Cheers, MP.
Great Screenshot Mysticpuma, thats a fine job with the sky, don't get much chance for a sky like that here normally :)
