Hi, I would just let you know that a new version of IL2G15Score is released! :-)

IL2G15Score is program that shows various stats from IL2 in the LCD display of a Logitech G15 keyboard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logitech_G15).

News in v2.0:

More configurable pilot stats LCD page

You you can choose from more categories than the previous version, and configure the layout of the stats page. Two pages per pilot let you have more information for each pilot:

http://mhondoz.net/il2g15/images/stats_config_two_pages.png

(press the same button twice to change page)

Choose from these types:

Air kills
Air hit %
Bullets fired
Bullets hit
Bullets hit air
Total hit %
Tank kills
Car kills
Artillery kills
AAA kills
Wagon kills
Ship kills
Rockets fired
Rockets hit
Rocket hit %
Bombs dropped
Bombs hit
Bomb hit %
Ground kills
Score

Top score page

This is a ranking list of for example who has the best Air hit % on the server:

http://mhondoz.net/il2g15/images/thumb_top_score.jpg

The list shows three pilots per page, total six pilots are listed (over two pages). Choose from these categories:

Air kills
Air hit %
Ground kills
Score
Total hit %

Chat

You can now have a dedicated page to show chat lines from the game in the LCD display. This makes it possible to have fewer chat lines on screen, while still being able to follow messages from the server or other players:

Automatic configuration

When v1.0 was released, one of the most frequent problems was related to configuring the game to output stats to the log. This is now done automatically by IL2G15Score, so no more manual text file editing is needed.

Prepared for localization

New languages can now be added without rebuilding the program. If anyone would like to do a translation, please contact me for more details. If some English speakers would like to improve the English version, they are welcome too. :-) So far the supported languages are English and Norwegian (German is in progress).

GPL license

Inspired by the IL2 community, with lots and lots of free stuff like campaigns, skins and other software projects like SEOW, I decided to go with the GPL license this time. This means I am releasing the source too. :-)

More information and downloads here: http://mhondoz.net/il2g15

Enjoy! :-)

I had heard of this proggie, and have wanted to give it a go. It looks good. The only concern I have would be that I may look down at my G15 more than I should, and not at my screen, decreasing my SA.

That is a valid concern about SA. Since my flying usually lead to a quick death, it is nice to have something to watch when I am shot down early in a coop for example

But if your are interested in your hit ratio, I believe you loose more SA by typing <gunstat to the chatbar. ;)

Anyway, thanks for your comment.

Yeah, I guess thats the way it should be done. But you do have to move your hands to from the joystick to the keyboard to enter the quick chat number? Or is it possible to activate it from a button on your joystick?

I have been using Ver 1.0 since it came out.

My problem is with Ver 2.0. Everytime I try and run it I get the following error.

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling application may fix this problem.

My game is installed in the proper form
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946

I have re-downloaded thinking it might have been corrupt and I have tried installing in different locations.

Hi Demon.

First thing I can think of with that error message is that something is wrong with the .dll files that are included with the program.

Do you run the program from the folder it is delivered in?
Do you have any other Qt .dll files (from different versions) that may be in your system path?
What OS are you running? I have tested the applet with Vista SP1 and XP SP2 and SP3.

Another thing to check could be the version of the Logitech software, I am using version 2.02.101

My Logitech was at 1.03.193 so I updated to 2.02.101

I am running XP Home SP3 now but also tried it with SP2

No Qt .dll files in system path.

Re-downloaded installed per instructions and I get the same error. It just has to be a setting in my machine that I haven't found yet. Well I have been meaning to do a clean install of XP so this gives me an excuse.

Thanks for the help Mhondoz Ver 1.0 works like a champ still

Ok, I see.

It could of course be a regular bug in my code that makes it crash . If you want to work with this, I can create a debug build that outputs more information of what is going on. Maybe we then are able to track down what is happening.

Hey nice prog, may look into it if I bother to need a new keyboard.

I do it like Feuerfalke, but I use VAC and just say it.

~S~ I also cannot get this program to work, and get the same error.

What specific MS Run Time libraries did you have to install to get this to work.

( original version works flawlessly )

~S~

The runtime .dlls can be downloaded from Microsoft here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=200B2FD9-AE1A-4A14-984D-389C36F85647&displaylang=en

IL2G15Score is developed in C++ using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. The error message is related to some of the runtime .dlls are missing.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I will update the download and FAQ at the web page.
