Any chance for the Avro Anson being flyable?

The interior in the new screenshots is amazing. Hard to not have it as a flyable. I've always liked this aircraft, it could be put to many uses in missions as well as used as a basic multi engine trainer.

So, why not?

The interior you see in this plane, or any other exterior shots, are used for the exterior model only. To make this, or any other plane flyable, first of all a much more detailed interior 3D model must be built, which for a plane of Anson's level of complexity can take nearly a year of work, and then the cockpit needs to be integrated into the game with all the gauges working etc, which again is a huge project on its own.

The good news is that, just as was the case with Il-2, all AI planes can potentially be made flyable in the future. And, unlike with Il-2, with Storm of War series, 3rd party developers will be able to make their own cockpits (and planes and other objects) by themselves without having to go through the official channels.

So in other words there's absolutely nothing out there saying the Anson can't at some point be flyable.

Thanks Luthier, that is a very good answer! I suppose it will be possible to us the stock aircraft as a base (as opposed to only being able to modify custom built 3rd party aircraft)?

The other good news is that the Anson's interior is pretty well known (At least I've seen some fantastic scratch built models from here in Canada - and they would have required blueprints).

I personally would like to add a flyable Anson, Chipmunk and stretch of the prairies as a Commonwealth Air Training Plan simulation...

Thanks Luthier.

I appreciate your reply, and do understand the complexity of it all.

All the models seen so far, both for Storm of War and "Project Galba" are really first rate.

Carry on with the good work! Take all the time necessary to make it a stunning release.
