To an extent, yes. But it increases the enjoyability exponentially. The current version of the 6DoF mod should be incorporated into V4.09. It's that good.

I fly a mix of full cockpit and ww view (due to the buddies I fly with) and I can tell you that as far as giving an advantage it's very minimal but it's hugely enjoyable! Adds immensely to immersion, and yes, it should be added to 4.09, there is not a thing wrong with it IMO.

with some planes some camera views will show parts of the plane that are not properly modeled because there was no posibility to be seen with the normal track system, so in order to implement the 6DoF this parts should be remodeled and there is something they are NOT going to do, therefore no 6DoF on the 4.09 i'm afraid. I wish I was wrong.

Welllll oh well. I dont care if they add it or not. It rocks. No reason to fly without it.. I can deal with the FEW little glitches. Not like the models were perfect to begin with.

I said i wish i was wrong because you are right, i could also live with the FEW little glitches, is 1c who cannot live with them.

Many of those minor glitches have been fixed by the community. The 109's being a particularly good example.

Again i will have to say I think some of the things made by the community are a real improvement (other ones i'm not that sure) and this is a particular good example, but you have to realise the reasons why this particular matter is a NO NO for some people and particularly to 1c staff. 1c wants no resources being wasted in il2 anymore because il2 has saddly reached to its end, so 4.09 is NOT going to bring any modification to the game rather than the maps, made by the way by 3rd party and not by 1c. I wish this was not the case. I have been ages willing to fly b29 oficially with its own cockpit (something still impossible even with the AAA).
6Dof is next on my wish list, but i'm afraid 1c will never take the time or the efford to implement this because the time and the efford they now have for il2 is none, is nada.
