"Resource desynchronization detected. Playing with desynchronized resources could lead to an Out-of-Sync error." It s typing me, when I m trying to connect to multiplayer game. My connection is good, playing many games. It isn t firewall. I used hand-made patch by DJSatane http://http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=33601 (http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=33601) . Any idea what s the problem? :confused:

please people help me, I could find similar problem here on forum, but it was about LAN and also !wasn t solved!. I simply have everything allright, but some part of mowas is screwed up and telling to your lobby I have bad connection. Anyone know please how to delete part about controling synchronization? I will be glad for any solution, except converting to :evil:steam:evil:.

Since I am not sure whats going on here and you are not willing to use steam try this:
1. Make sure you uninstall the game, manually go to where the game was installed, usually under C:\Program Files\1C Company\ and make sure the game folder is gone if not delete it.

2. Next go to My Documents\My games\ folder there you should find "men f war - assault squad" folder, delete it. If you cannot find it and you are on windows 7 try direct path on harddrive such as:

C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\My Games\men of war - assault squad\

3. Install your game, after installing download 2.05.13 patch:

- http://www.1cfiles.com/MoWAS_patch/mow-as-update-setup-en-2.05.13-full.zip *IF YOU HAVE NORMAL NON GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION*.

- http://www.1cfiles.com/MoWAS_patch/mow-as-goty-update-setup-en-2.05.13.zip *IF YOU HAVE GOTY EDITION*.

4. Install the proper patch.

5. Make sure your game runs, when you run the game it should say either upper left or lower left somwhere version of the game, make sure it says 2.05.13.

6. Go to your folder where game is installed (C:\Program Files\1C Company\men of war assault squad\ or something like that) look in the folder how many of the files ending with .pat do you see? They are like 1.pat, 2.pat etc... do you have 13 of them? If you do then download my temporary 2.05.14 patch for non steam mowas-non-steam-2.5.13-to-2.5.14.7z (http://www.sunsetparkmotel.com/cuih/mowas/mowas-non-steam-2.5.13-to-2.5.14.7z).

7. Extract mowas-non-steam-2.5.13-to-2.5.14.7z file to the folder where men of war assault squad is installed, it should ask you whether you want to overwrite 1 file called gamelogic.pak if it does ask that means you are extracting to right place, click yes. Now try running the game and what version does it list in game? If it says 2.5.14 then you should be good.

(NOTE, if you have men of war installed make sure you dont make a mistake and somehow extract stuff there etc....)

Not sure when 1c/dms will get around to have official patch but if the above doesnt work for you then you are stuck with having to use steam or wait.

4. Patch is installed automatically with the game. I bought magazine about video games in shop and there was also DVD with full game mowas added.
5. Game is running with patch 2.05.13 Retail. I hope it s simply normal version. I was in hope to connect to any 2.05.13 game, but I didn t see any, so I can t say, if I have problems with desynchronization also in this version.

I don t fully understand your note. Are you talking about two mowas installed on my computer at same time?

I don t think it s about bad way I installed mowas. In my opinion is the problem simply in some part of game what take care about synchronization... so, yes, where can I find official support team? :-D

So after you installed game and now added my patch you see 2.5.14 version when u run the game or not? In the folder where game is installed u have 14.pat files? You cannot play with most people in lobby with retail version or retail patch because latest patch is a minor balance tweak currently only out on steam(most people do use steam however for the game). My patch if you extracted works in most cases, however you maybe having a problem with something running on your computer such as some kind of active anti virus or malware blocker that is also present in memory and very intrusive that can sometimes cause problems when it comes to desync errors with the game, double check if you running any apps like that.

Yes, I patched it well. My version is 2.05.14.
I m not using spywares, malvares or similar programs, only antivirus AVG free version. Everything what can be switched off in functnions, was switched off. I had problems about cracks in warez versions, but I don t think it s important. No effect.
Then you must be probably right. It s because of patch .14, or cause of non steam. Well... both easy solution, steam :-)
Thanks for help, if you found another possible reason, why sync doesn t work, I ll be glad to give you teamviewer to heal my game. :-D

I have the same exact problem and I am using the steam version of the game. I have no mods on and it still says the same thing

use steams verify game cache option for mowas, if you keep getting it make sure you have no mods at all under where your game is installed, if you already did clean install off steam then dont worry about that. If you keep having it that means u have something loaded in memory active that is preventing normal operation and messing up verification by gamespy.

You have a very rare problem and you havent even posted your pc specs and details thus its hard to even take a guess what could it be, but as I said it sounds like you have something loaded in memory that interferes with proper operation of the system by which gamespy lobby/mp verifies files.

Aside from making sure you fully removed the game and profile and reinstalling from steam again there is not much anyone can tell you without specific information about your pc.

Does this mean all the mods that arent even turned on?

What I mean is that u didnt by accident placed some files under actual mowas or mowas\resource folder and as for mods as long as they are not activated in profile then its fine. Post your specs and what apps you run always like what av etc, if you know how to use such programs as md5 or par2 you could generate a hash or a file that compares all the pak files under your game and then one can comapre it with others to verify all your files in fact same. When you use verify game cache on steam does it download anything? If you havent reinstalled the game after you registered it with steam, delete it make sure manually all the files and folder for the game are gone including profiles, then install it off steam directly as last attempt/

Djsatane thank you so much the problem was that there was somehow a copy of the editor in my multiplayer folder. I can't tell you HOW grateful i am to you thank you SO MUCH dude.

I get this problem when I try to play with unofficial 2.05.14 patch files, because there is no official link given to NON-STEAM PLAYERS.

Since patch 2.05.13 you CAN T play multiplayer, maybe even with LAN I guess, without steam. So you must transfer your game to steam, or use older patch.

Most gamespy cd keys that come with game can be used to activate the game on steam.

It isn t the easiest, but it definitely isn t hard! Register and download steam and log in. At top left corner of steam interface is "games". CLick it and... second button is "activate product in steam". Press it, proceed, proceed.. and now they want key... I had 2 keys for mowas.. dunno why.. and one of them works :-D. When you fill it, steam automatically identify game: mowas and you press next.. and it starts downloading from server... you don t need your CD since now.. it s useless.. it s trash.. oh yea.. hate steam... you only need CD key. That s all. :evil:
