View Full Version : Change sensitivity of 6DoF

Big ups to TD for introducing 6DoF in 4.11. It makes the early P-47 and the thick-framed 109's much easier to fly.
I have 6DoF set to my joystick hat, but I'm finding it too sensitive; I nudge the hat as briefly as I can, but my pilot's head moves too much for my liking. Any way to adjust this?
Thanks

I do not recall the details at the moment but there should be an entry in the conf.ini file to regulate 6DoF speed movements

List of new conf.ini parameters
...
[HookView Config]
LeanF=0.4 (Speed of head forward/backward leaning. Range 0.01 to 1 with higher number
giving faster motion)
LeanS=0.4 (Speed of head sideways leaning. Range 0.01 to 1 with higher number giving
faster motion)
Raise=0.2 (Speed of head up/down motion. Range 0.01 to 1 with higher number giving faster
motion)
RubberBand=0.5 (elasticity of the head motion limits)

That worked, thanks. I had to add those parameters to the file though, they weren't there to be modified originally.
just for curiosity - does it make any difference if I adjust things in conf.ini,
or use the trackir software to adjust movement speeds?

I think, you can use both to get the same results. At least, you can combine it to some degree. I kept the setting in conf.ini at default values and use only TIR software for refinements.
