Bought my MoW GOTY from Greenmangamming digital download.
Version 2.00.11 - Retail

Trying to apply patch 2.05.13 so i can join the rest but no luck.

"
The setup has detected that no version of Men of War. Assault Squad -
Game of the year is installed.

The update requires a previous version of the game to be installed.
Set up cannot continue.
"

So i tried
1: Register with Steam ( got no key for that)
2:Use Uniexctract and patch my self (wont work )
3:Use NON GOTY patch (patch work but need to enter key again)

Please advise

contact greengaming..... how can you have no gamespy cd key? You must have it otherwise how do you get online into the internet lobby in game? Thats the key used to register mowas games with steam however I am not 100% sure that version you can but you should try. Sounds to me like greengaming maybe using their own installer or something that makes patch not working right so you must contact their support or 1c. But you must have gamespy cd key that allows u to get online in game.

Thanks for the answer i will contact GMG and 1C and post my results if other people need help with the same issue.
I only got one key from GMG and it works to play online.

Hi, I have the same problem. I bought assault squad on Origin and for some reason I can't patch the game. My version is 2.00.11 retail. Did you finally get a solution? Please let me know if you did. Thx

Hello,

I got the same issue, I contacted the 1C support also, but they were unable to help me and DMS has never answered.
I decided to have a look on the problem and I found a workaround.
I post it here, this worked for me (Micro Application edit), use it at your own risk.

#1: Install the retail GOTY version (should be version 2.00.11).

#2: Make a backup of the file "GameuxInstallHelper.dll", located in the MOW AS GOTY folder.

#3: Open the registry (Windows key + r -> "regedit"), and search that key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\{D8B5C1BB-5951-422D-A4D5-451675614956}_is1
Rename it to,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\{3B5614A2-2A3B-4C64-8CC7-A67726154539}_is1
You should have a "DisplayVersion" value (on the right pane), replace current data "2.00.11" by "2.0.11.0".
After that you should be able to apply all GOTY patchs.

#4: If you have a hash error about "interface.pak" during the patch ("The game data is corrupt! Update is not possible!"). You can replace it (located in ...\resource\interface.pak) with this file link1 (https://mega.co.nz/#!vZZzRATa!IRnTVXPm4VCWaBZfUk6xUDklOu8shim9_apgDUO D314) or link2 (http://uptobox.com/rijmq9mlnjp3), and apply the patch again.

#5: If you intend to uninstall the game, go to the MOW AS GOTY folder, and do in order:
- run "unins001.exe"
- restore "GameuxInstallHelper.dll"
- run "unins000.exe"
