Battlepack including update 2.05.13 has been released (both Steam/Non-Steam)

Battlepack for Men of War: Assault Squad is available now on Steam. It includes official patch 2.05.13 and adds yet more new 3D models, provides lots of new special units, changes weapons characteristics and improves gameplay balance.

Disappointing that you chose to release the Steam update ahead of the non-Steam. After purchasing this game a few days ago I went over to my brothers to play this game on LAN specifically, and now it does not work because we have incompatable versions since his version auto-updated. Why not release both versions at the same time?

its not dissapointing, this allows developer to playtest the patch before its submitted for official patch for non retail. Currently the patch out has some small issues that most likely will be resolved before this patch is final and has downloadable version on 1c website.

Apparently, this patch is not designed for the Game of the Year Edition (I applied it and it disabled the game and I had to reinstall).

Does the Game of the Year Edition already contain the additions of this patch or will there be a separate patch for that version?

If you want to register your game with steam you have to use your gamespy cd key the one that you use to get into internet lobby to register with steam.

Games>Activate product on steam.

If you want to download patch you can get it yourself if you want to avoid steam:

If you cant get your cd key to work make sure you check spelling and maybe if you messed up 0 with o etc... otherwise contact 1c or gamespy.

How long is the wait for the patch? right now I have 2.00.11 and there are not so many games up with that version.

Sorry to burst your bubble but, I believe the GOTY edition is not supported on steam. A couple of steam users had a post and came to the conclusion that the store allows only the regular version of MOW:AS.

...figures lol I learned a long time ago with the first version of men of war NOT to buy any direct download versions as they or rather my version had out of sync issues with store versions on and off. I had the crap-a-boli version,,,huge mistake. Since then I don't purchase download versions of any game especially 1c ones.

Then you did not read many posts about this since your version is the GOTY version you have to use different 2.05.13 patch, not the retail one.

Reinstall the game and then USE THIS PATCH:

Not sure what to tell you but you have a rare problem, where did you buy the game from? Try registering the game using its gamespy cd key on steam and the game will update for you, assuming you have no problems using steam. Otherwise try to get a refund since you are unable to play it. I read a lot of mow forums and definitely some kind of rare problem there or something going on the operating system.

I bought this game from a shop ) ( game of the year edition ( MOW , MOW red tide, MOW Assault squad + skirmish pack etc.)) and btw its assault squad goty how can i register it on steam? i tryed several times and yeah.......... its kinda useless. and BTW there are so many problems with this error ( The setup has detected that no man of war assault squad game of the year was installed) i saw untill now so many posts and not even a single solution yet.

Like I said I follow dms and steam forums and never seen such error mentioned before, maybe there is a problem with the retail version of the game you bought, could be the installer of the game doesnt write proper registry entries etc and thus patches do not see the game. You would have to try and contact publisher of the retail game you have sending them your recepit and asking for help or refund, or possibly going to that shop, thats about all I can say. As for steam, try this(however for some retail goty versions this may not work but only some) run steam, login to your account then click steam>library> hit the games tab >SELECT> Activate A Product on Steam. Now, you have to put in your gamespy cd key(the key that you would use for online account to play when you click multiplayer>internet in the game).

Give this a try, however if your retail version is some weird unique version it may not work.

I've got exactly the same problem, got GOTY version from e-shop, cant activate on steam, cant patch to 2.05.13 since it cant find the game.

Contact 1C and that e-shop that you bought it from and when you contact 1C make sure you specify where you got the game from and what you should do, there have been similar problems with greengaming online store.

inst there some rar version of this patch that we can extract -.- i mean i had the same problem with the original men of war and i had to download victory day edition fully patched already so i can play online...... so i snt there assault squad already patched just to enter the cd key?
