Bumping this thread. I would want to make multiplayer dogfight missions for a dedicated server, but haven't found any suitable tutorials for them. I ran through FlyingNutcases vids, but they didn't seem handle this subject.
Any help appreciated!
Also, if someone has the Crazy Ivan's dedicated server setup guide, or a working link to it, it would also be great!

Doing the mission building thing for Dogfight servers is sort of like the arcane arts. It's not super hard, just weird and often filled with work arounds. Anything specific you have questions about? I've never written a guide but I have over a hundred scenarios under my belt by this point... On dogfight servers alone. So I can probably answer at least some questions :)

As for the dedicated server ........... Do you want to run multiple maps or single, if multiple maps you can use Fbd or IL2SC

Thanks for the answers!
As I am many times, too hasty. What I was looking for was the HomeBase object. Just had to get my hand dirty and open up an existing df mission :) .. This was my first obstacle in trying make a df mission, and there seems to be no tutorial giving hints to begin making them.

Good to know, I might come bugging you about the subject later ;)

Just one at first, but several later as we have time to make them. I have already tested the FBDj once, although unsuccesfully, but that was just a hasty test on my personal compy. Previous admins have used the IL2SC, which is simpler to use if I recall correctly.

There are several helpful articles on mission building in the Knowledge Base at M4T.
Campaign and Mission Building: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Knowledge_Base&cat=40
One of the more specific to your question is this one.

SC is pretty good as I recall but for the last few years it's been FBDj that we've been using. I've no idea how to set it up but the interface is fairly simple to use once you want to actually build the missions and set them up in a rotation on the server.

Oh, I just came up with a question about FBDj, hopefully someone can answer :)
So, I have the dedicated server (4.11.1 of course) running on a dedicated machine on my local network, MySQL and FBDj(1.8 updated with the latest data files and such) running on my personal compy. When I hit "Connect", it says "Server Not Accepting Connection...Stopping Listener". If I shut the server down, and try again it says "Connecting to Server..." so it actually is getting an connection, but something just goes wrong. Any ideas?
