Hello everyone,
I have to tell you is very bad news - the current beta version of the patch didn't pass internal test and was sent back for revision. We plan to assemble the new version only at the beginning of the next week.
Everything that I can offer you now are some specifications about correction of flight model.
Fiat G50
Fixed modes of the motor. Operating speed, temperature and boost pressure. Added +100 take-off mode(only activated by key assignments, not through the cursor in canopy). Improved aerodynamics.
Note:
However, the motor control at different heights requires the attention of the player. In the fall of speed and power should be adjusted mixture, as well as monitor the temperature of the cylinder, the working temperature of 220-230 g. In general, the engine began to work steadily, and with proper management regimes, provides a full-time capacity on all working heights. Maximum speed, the plane develops at an altitude of 4100 m

Hurricane Mk Ia
Decreasedspeed at all altitudes.
BlenheimMkI
Increased empty weight and maximum take-off weight. In the overloaded mode, with 468 halon fuel aircraft weighs 14,500 pounds.
Fixed characteristics of the motor. Speed rated power, maximum speed, boost pressure. Fixed temperature balance of the motor.
The constant RPM screw is replaced by permanent two-position screw.
Mixture management changed to a double-throw one (a rich mixture and lean mixture).
Control flaps changed to a smooth operation, added the "neutral" position of lever.
Fixed an error in the data of the area of the vertical stabilizer which led to pulling aircraft to a side at takeoff.
Reduced airframe disintegration speed (to 550-580 km \ h).

That's ok B6, we have waited so long another week or two doesn't really matter. Keep the good work up! Looking forward to the patch.
P.S See guys, I said there wouldn't be a patch today and everyone who did is now sorely disappointed and might even start complaining.

Thanks for the update Blacksix, when you had the first last minute glitch a long while ago, which was the decals I assume you tested everything and it was all running sweet apart from the decal issue, you then fixed all of that and tested again only to have a last minute glitch with the particles, now you have fixed that and now the next last minute glitch is with the graphics engine. How are all these issues connected?

I know the team are doing all they can to try and get this working and I believe eventually they will, but Christ on a bike this is boring.
I bought the collector’s edition over a year ago and paid 50 quid for it. Since then I have used it for only a few hours as it is so bad in its current state.
You see these fancy videos that people have made with the engine yet when you play the game it is nothing like that in my opinion. I don’t want a film making tool.
I really, really would just like to know what is wrong with this game and why it is still in such a state a year after it was released. I check the forum regularly but cannot explain why. Hanging on, I guess!
It’s just a stream of constant problems. Sorry to sound negative but that’s the way I feel.

I know everyone is in a hurry to get the patch, I am too, but it makes no sense for them to release it with "known" issues. A beta patch is to be released so we can help find "unknown" issues. If they have known problems why wouldnt they fix them before they release to so we can focus on finding other things they missed or cant be caught internally...
B6 and group, stay on target, you have the right idea!

Thats very true, however, many many months ago the beta was running perfectly fine apart from a small glitch in the decals, then it was particles, now the graphics engine in itself is causing problems that weren't there where when the decals were causing an issue. I smell excrement too.
The preferred method would have to be NOT replacing the entire graphics engine in a game that is already released, as this isnt how things should be done, but in this case have to be done, we have to understand that things will not happen as they should.
We are all frustrated... I am sure the Dev team is as well... they want to make new games and continue on into the future... spinning their wheels on an already released game cant be fun for anyone...

It's one of those cases where Murphy intervenes, excrement hits the rotary atmosphere agitator and such things.
Aka sh*t happens :P
Well aquainted with that theory but on the subject of sh*t happens, a flight sim with constipation, thats a new one on me. It's in obvious pain and then every so often it goes red in the face, its seems reasonable (and likely) to expect a performance and then....PFFFFT.......ahem.
Somebody, somewhere must be in overall charge of this, and I mean above Luthier? They must be having a meltdown that makes the forum ranters look like baby bunnies.

I feel the same way. I especially agree with the lack of playing time due to a very poorly created multiplayer both in R.O.F. and C.O.D. There are just other games in my list that are so much more entertaining no matter how passionate I am about WW2 Aviation.
Do not get me wrong the ATAG server is not to shabby at all but remember the previews for this game promising giant scripted multiplayer missions with gobs of planes. then we get the game and it is here yah go, now make all the content yourself while we catch up on basics that should have been done already. I would rather wait another year or two for a game that is developed and contains a fleshed out 1C created multiplayer campaign that can run for months like in the trailer. Still this is the best we have at the moment and I try to be patient, but I can totally sympathize with your frustration and negativity.

Hopes dashed once again. It must be a BIG issue or else they probably would have let it out the door. My biggest fear (figuratively speaking), is that when it does arrive, most will be able to tell the difference. Luthier has already stated that the look will be the same. Maybe it will run better on some machines but probably not all. Nothing about the new, glorious sounds Luthier mentioned months ago. After all this time the patch should really exceed our expectations to avoid the "We've waited six months for this:evil::evil:. My fingers are crossed for team Luthier that this puppy blows us away, everyone (most everyone ;)) starts drinking the 1C Kool-Aid once again and starts saving for the sequel.

Some of the posts here do make me laugh though, instead of whining about CLoD go out a and play the best WW2 flight sim there is - IL2 1946. CLoD /BoM will never better it - not if you wait for 5 years!

Oh you little saint you. Butter wouldn't melt. Rhetorical is exactly the right word.

I don't know how many million lines of code there are, but there is a reason that there is inhouse testing, expanded inhouse testing, and sending out beta testing to a wider group. Its almost impossible to test every situation and bugs can be missed. You can fix a hundred bugs, but those fixes can create bugs in other graphic features. To suggest there is some sort of malicious skulduggery going on is beyond immature, when the developer can only guess when responding to the endless "when will it be finished questions".

Oh, he says he's trying to help the devs with suggestions Tree should see the code? Laughable. It's bullying masquerading as snide vindictiveness.
And it's never-ending. Every time Tree posts, he's harassed; and when a user suggests a scheme to get him to shut-up, David agrees (which, incidentally, overturns any suggestion from David that he was posting to help the development process).

I doubt there is any meltdown, they have already trousered the cash from sales of CLOD well over a year ago, make no mistake this 'patch' is part of the development for the new game BOM, what will eventually benefit the long suffering customers will be a benefit to the Dev's also.
Not too sure about that. Devs say BoM is based on CoD engine, they want to sell BoM. Even among the CoD zelots (never mind the 'normal' simming community) who will jump in on BoM without some tangible proof the basic engine underneath it works ? Add to that the fact BoM is almost entirely fought over land, frequently at low level, nah, somebody will be frothing at the mouth over the prospect of that payday slipping away.

well, somehow i expected another delay, but still its very disappointing for me...
right now personally i really would prefer to install the beta even with the particle problems it seems to have...
but
what im really interested in, are the graphs...
if one looks at the G50 graph, this really seems to be close to the real thing now, but what about the other planes?there is still a pretty big difference between the performance in game and the pilot's manuals..
if you look at the 109s for example,...are you trying to make it closer to the real thing in the future at least?the same goes for the RAF planes of course, but we will have to wait for the graphs to be shown, to judge...i just want to have it as realistic as possible.....if you can do it for the G50, then you can do it for the other planes as well, so please DEVS, dont stop to tweak them.i wish you and us quick success for the current "graphics" problem.

Didn't he say that before the 2006 release date? Or maybe the 2008 one? Hardware has advanced 5 to 7 years since then, so that statement is pretty much not valid anymore.
