View Full Version : Online War: Ghost Skies
Hello gents,
If anyone is still looking for a good online war, www.ghostskies.com is still running. We just started a Westfront '44 campaign.
We are a full real campaign, with only the speedbar. We run Fri, Sun, and Thurs at 9:30pm EST every week.
We run the latest UP3.0 RC4 with our own mods also.
Come check us out and sign up if interested.

No custom fms. We have our own map mods.

Why folks still cling on to UP3 is beyond me...the community gets smaller and smaller, and at the same time we have more and more game versions to choose from. We don't have to be statisticians to foresee that a community where almost every server runs an own game version is headed for the trashcan.
Up3 best serves our campaigns structure, so that's why we use it.

GS is not a "Server"!
And their Mods, only implies maps designs, with more airbases, and some corrections to ease the flow of ground objects, to make a better ground environment.
COD supports MODs, specially this kind. The fact that IL2 doesn't support this kind of modding, is beyond my understanding.

Ive been playing this for the last 6 months and its the most rewarding il2 experience ive had. Sure its nice to hop onto Skies of Valor to shoot from the hip and have quick fun but the structure of ghostskies ends up giving me more of a thrill than a deathmatch. Check it out and i'm sure youll be hooked!

Actually not.
But there is a reasonable ground war going on.
SEOW is a bit more complex on that item.
Still, GS is the best around for Americas right now.
We could certainly use some more axis squads/players, if anyone is interested.

I agree whole heartedly that the Online wars are very enjoyable, my group Air Group 51 participates in Ground Zero SEOW campaigns

We are getting ready to start a new campaign soon, we use the HSFX 5.1 install for our basis. AG-51 also has a Jet Pack 1.1 install for HSFX so we can do the Korean conflict coming soon. We get together as a squad and fly against the 69th GIAP (we get a stray AVG pilot once in awhile too) on Tues, Thurs, Sat nights at 2100 EST and 2000EST on Saturdays.
