Very nice!

This weekend will be the LLTM - click my sig for info.

Black Shark will be playable there and I'm really looking forward to the videos and pictures we will see over the next few days. Since KotS is obviously going strong, too, this could be a really awesome year for us flightsimmers!

Bought and enjoyed the LockOn, but when they started including all the piracy protection schemes on their disks I gave up on LockON sequels. I have enough trouble keeping my computer up and going, without letting developers half way around the world screw with my system.

Didn't buy the PE-2 because of Piracy software, but I bought every single title in the series that didn't have that junk. I bought the IL2-1946 and got a wrap on everything. That brought me up to speed on everything at once. I really like have one Disk with the whole she-bang.

Anyone can find pirated stuff on the web. It's thievery and when you steal a music, a software or anything that is offerered for sale... You're just a thief. If you'll steal a song, you're just a darned thief and there is not way around it.

A thief is a thief is a thief.

Yeah,I think this is going to be a real throw back to the EA Jane's F-15 and F/A-18 days when I used to be up til 3 in the morning reading the manual[a real manual with indepth info]just trying to figure out how to interpet the ground radar!!!!...Aaaaa those were the days

remember too: 6dof in the cockpit. If you ever saw 6dof implemented in a sim (CFS3), you don't forget it. I look forward to that in BS, and also in SoW_BoB.

Yeah, with the fully clickable cockpit and 6DOF this looks like it will be a top notch sim! LockOn sure needed the click pits for combat. . .I wish these features were retroactive, but hey, I loved Longbow, I'm sure I can enjoy a rotorcraft sim again.

Beach AV8R's old school machine is also a good sign for the playability of this title, for those on older machines.

Is this update actually coming out? Wasn't "BS" vapor ware?

If it ever does hit the shelves I will probably get it (as the screens look awesome), but I thought it was suppose to be released a couple of years ago??

Well, at least there is an update every few weeks, developers notes with video and a presentation on LAN-partys and members of the staff answering questions and giving hints and informations what is going on, what the next objective and the next sequel will be about, etc.

A lot of information for Vapor-Ware compared to... well, nevermind... ;)

PS: The lack of information last year was due to the fact that the team had developed an A-10 Simulator for a customer in the US. Now that is a recommendation, huh?

I did kind of "lob" that one over center plate...

I was a little afraid that the "set-up" was a little too obvious :O :)

Haven't really been interested in helicopters so far, but would take a look at detailed study sim. On the other hand, clickable cockpits... which hand am I supposed to use on the mouse? It's simple for me to reach out and strike a couple of keys in the middle of a df, but having to locate the mouse, look down and carefully maneuvre the cursor over the appropriate switch... seems like a waste of time.
I appreciate that other people might feel differently, but if the cockpit animations are there, you can still see the switches moving... why do you need to click over them?

You don't NEED to click them in BS either. As in Falcon4 you can move any of the switches by mouse, but you can also map them to keys. And then, how many times do you inflight do the complete engine-startup, the activation of fuelpumps, radios, avionics, ejection-system and other subsystems, programming of ECm and flightpath, etc?
So, in the end you'll probably need the keys you have in LockOn now, for normal operation, but you CAN use the switches, too. It's not a must, but an offer.

Saitek X-52 has a mouse cursor on the throttle, usefull in IL2 for scrolling the map and not interupting your flight.

Another good point

And you even don't need your mouse-stick - you just need a button for left-click, as apparently the mouse remains in position when turning the head. So you can center it, move the view over buttons and click.
