Hello all.

Been having a blast with Ultrapack 3.0, but there is one small thing that is bugging me.

Using the MTO map as a Bf109 pilot against P-40s, I load up the map and the plane which has a nice-looking desert paint on it:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us (http://imageshack.us)

Now, when I start up the mission, I go to external and see that the paint scheme has defaulted, thus:
http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/2809/desert2p.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/33/desert2p.jpg/)

The same goes for winter camouflage on snowy maps, if the paint scheme is not actually set as a texture. Does anybody know a way around this? I would like to be able to fully utilise all these new paint schemes.

EDIT: I would like to point out that there is no skin listing for "desert" on the 109, whereas the P-40s have a dedicated RAF Desert skin. Could this be the problem? Also using QMB.

Tally-ho,
Scott.

Do you have the #UP# folder in your IL2 Directory? It is one of the archived files in UP3. When you unpack the UP3 you should have a .rar file called #UP#SampleFolder.rar, in this is a #UP# folder, unpack it into your IL2 directory.

I had the same problem and it hasn't reappeared since I did this.

Thanks for the reply Sandeu.

Unfortunately, your tip hasn't worked. I unpacked the folder you mentioned straight into the IL-2 directory, and everything is there, but the default skin keeps appearing.

Anything else I can try?

Sorry, I'm at a loss here.

You need to ask this at either ultrapack forums or SAS.
Which version of up3 are you using?

It's the RC4 version of Ultrapack. I'll try your suggestion and ask the UP forums about this.

Thanks all,
Scott.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I remeber this bug in an older UP3 RC, did you have UP3 RC4?

The #UP#SampleFolder.rar was released with UP3 RC1, it's better not to use it with last release since some file in those folder have been updated
