Unable to play game!

Can anyone help me out please, I added a patch to the oringal game as I hate putting in the disc's into the cd drive and them getting scratched, however it won't allow me to play the game. This is about the 8th Patch I have tired.

Now I have to unistall the game and restall the game to get rid of the patch I added in.

Paul , seems like you are getting your patches mixed up? If you use Steam all patches are auto updated, No cost to join steam, you got the Original disc so no probs.
