409 patch, is it the usual 2 weeks ?, see as 409 is not a maddox patch, but a third party patch, i hoped it would have got here a bit quicker

Why do you think people that don't even get money for their work would invest more time in a piece of software than people feeding their families from the little profit?
It's done when it's done. And it will be more dissapointing with every day that goes by raising peoples hopes and dreams about the contents. We've all been there, yet we will see boards spammed with surprised anger. ;)

Its my understanding that they are still working on the "graphics dll"....so we will have to see.

That arrogant attitude of " I want my toy now!" won't make it any faster, and won't help to see a 4.10 some day.

As you have seen during the last weeks, it's no problem to download them individually. AFAIK one of the maps is not finished, yet.

The beta works just fine. Is there any need to change it?

Sure it works fine. There were no changes to the code except the dlls and some minor changes. But the beta is missing out some maps and objects. ;)

That's what I mean. The longer we wait the higher the expectations. Even though this might be a joke, the patch will be dissapointing considering what most people interpret into the long time until it's finished.
IL2 is done. An era ends, another begins.

That arrogant attitude of " I want my toy now!" won't make it any faster, .
Reasoning suggest that this first part is true.
and won't help to see a 4.10 some day.
Reasoning suggests this second part is not true. Speculative. Perhaps even arrogant.

What if the 4.09bm is it?
I mean it works well for me, so what more is expected?
Oleg can call it a wrap (finished) if he likes, and continue to screw around with the dlls from now on.
We got the meat of the patch and that's alot more than we got many times in the past. I'm very happy ;)

Okay, I know that it's bad to give in to children's whining, but, oh well....
- missing dedicated server-package
- visibility range is increased for clear and good, but as cloud pop-up range cannot be extended, increased visibility will only be available on clear condition
- stutters and freezes in FMB with new objects reported
- some buildings in maps lack a fundament (they stand in the air on steep hills)
- problems with il2_core.dll and il2_corep4.dll
- possible memory leak when using extended view range
- when an AI plane lands in the Odessa-map and dissapears (as usual), all other objects vanish, too.
- radio-calls being cut off
- new objects: haystacks explode when hit

Your way off mate...
I was never whining. I thought the beta was more or less complete. Your post insinuated that their where missing maps and objects from the beta....I was never aware of this! It seems to me that it was YOU who was whining....I was merely checking your motive for posting...now I understand.

Well, "Thats what I thought..." was pretty easy to misunderstand, if you didn't mean it in any provoking way, just the same as your partial quote commented with "I don't understand?" and the "...now I understand" above.
I won't judge from these comments about your own motivation, so back to the topic:
I'd really like to see people taking the time to formulate demands for informations here or elsewhere to rather invest that time to google and check what is already there. The things I posted were not the missing stuff, as you've noticed correctly, but all this information was in the 1st link that the search on UBI-forums presented me and it wasn't even the beta-feedback-thread.
Of course you can still stand there, point your finger at me and ask for the missing stuff, that I didn't find a link for in these 2 minutes of copy'n'pase. I honestly doubt, though, that it will satisfy you in any way, nor will it give you the information you want to hear. So, since you understood my motivation, I'm sure you will be able to post some really interesting links for us, soon.

I was just commenting on your lament over the unfinished state of the "patch" (I was under the impression that people came here to exchange points of view)....their was no need to talk down to me like I'm a child. On the one hand your telling me that you don't have the time to clarify your comment, but on the other hand you do have the time to supply a Google link and a comment about "enlightening" myself on the meaning of "alpha beta"....you could have just said that you felt that their are some trees in the wrong place.
In my original question I was hoping that you would clarify your comment: "But the beta is missing out some maps and objects"...I thought that maybe you expected some additional maps in the final patch (in addition to the new ones we already got in the beta) I was thinking that I might be able to help you understand that we will most likely NOT see any more maps or objects....Believe it or not I run across people here that are under the impression that we might even see some additional aeroplanes to fly in the next patch...(I wish :))
My comment: "Thats what I thought" was a knee jerk reaction to your arrogant reply to my query....

The last two images are intentional. Water is hard to get up high, be happy it's there at all. Flying past it at speed you'll never notice. As for the road into the forest... you've never driven anywhere where a single lane road isn't covered overhead with trees? The vehicles don't care. That's MORE realistic to me, not less.

Agreed. That comment was rude. But I hope you can understand that, too. As you can also see from the other comments to your posting, people tend to react annoyed, because this question has been asked more than 100 times here and in the zoo and at some point you just tend to loose temper if you try to give a short answer and get a comment in return, that is not aimed at the original question but yourself.
I can even understand that reaction, but it is not my fault that my favorite game is no longer supported and there is no sense in shooting the messenger and I saw that very same flamewar that always follows my kickback to reality rolling over me even by your first comment.

@ Feuerfalke. IMHO every post you've made in this thread has been rude. Perhaps YOU know this stuff, but it does not necessarily follow that others do. For example, I read nearly every post on this forum, many at the Zoo, those at SimHQ, and at another place that is enlightened but can't be referenced.
I've never seen a post that deals with a lot of what you've described here. I fly 4.09m (beta) routinely (as does my squad) and we've never seen these issues (but then, we probably don't fly the maps that have the problems you are describing). So .........
Just because Proton (or anyone else for that matter) asks a question to which you believe you know the answer doesn't necessarily make him (or them) either stupid, a troll, or arrogant. Perhaps they are simply curious.
It would seem respectful to share you knowledge gracefully. Others manage to do that without much problem.
I appreciate your taking the time, finally, to enlighten Proton. You also enlightened me, for which I'm grateful.

Just remember when you read a post, your putting your own feelings and attitude into the context of that paragraph that person typed out; in his or her own feelings and tone. So just remember that.

I excused myself for being rude. If you want to crucify me, I suggest you drop me a personal message and we discuss that in private.
On a personal note, though, I am not an active member of the UBI-Zoo and I don't play 4.09b, yet I found the links and copy and pasted them all in less than 2 minutes. So, I still personally doubt, that this info is a well kept secret.
