Hi I have tested the new patch with benchmark track 'black death' and the results are : min 0 max 90 !!! I look that there are some moments of freeze immagine. Have you same problem?
Thank's

Your post seems incomplete. Your heading states "lost frame rate", indicating that you had something (a higher frame rate?) but now you lost something (a lower frame rate?).

So, the numbers you posted mean nothing unless we have something to compare them to. Obviously, you would need to post your frame rate from 4.10 so they could be compared with 4.11. Does that make sense to you?

As far as the "...moments of freeze...", you may want to be more specific. Personally, I haven't seen anything like that in 4.11.

Sorry I try to express myself more clearly.

The benchmark was run with the track 'the black death'.

This is benchmark result with 4.10.1m

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
6461, 144909, 11, 88, 44.587

This is benchmark result with 4.11

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
5721, 144521, 0, 86, 39.586

During the execution of the track I noticed that happened the freezing of the image (movie blocked for fraction of a second) that did not happen with the previous version.
These freezes have caused a minimum frame rate equal to zero.

The freezing of the image is always between a scene and the next or in other words between a view and the subsequent.

This new update may have uploaded more work the CPU?
I have an old pc but supported well the previous version, the features are:

P4-2.8 GHz, 1.7 GB ram, ATI radeon 9600X pro 256Mb.

Thank you for clearing that up. You went from an average of 45fps to 39fps. Personally, I expected a small frame rate hit because of all the new features in 4.11.

As far as the 'freezes', I haven't noticed anything like that myself. Maybe others can shed a little light on this. Good luck.

I get microsecond freezes while switching views (F keys usually). No idea on cause... others may experience an actual loss of frame rate. I just get a brief hiccup... probably because I have a very powerful system.

What specs do you have sagittario? CPU, RAM, GPU?

Me too.
It get's worse with weaker cards.

I encountered the same "freezing" stuff with my Nvidia GT430 videocard but only on some maps. Maybe a conf.ini tweaking must be done?!

Freezing and stutters are usually indicative of not enough VRam for your video settings (PC has to load/swop data with video card).
Try turning down a few graphics features, optimising to what suites your video card.

If you're overclocking you might be overheating your CPU and/or GPU (slowing down) - make sure your components are dust free - Errrr!!! clean your PC

I see it now! Totally blind over here

Thanks for the replies.
I made new tests and these are the benchmark results.

jabo262
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
6695, 91459, 23, 187, 73.202

n1k1
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
8701, 127376, 1, 128, 68.310

the black death
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
6830, 144981, 1, 104, 47.110

I confirm that the freezing happens only with the external view and in scene change.

I'm not an expert on graphics cards settings and in the Annex I shows the current setup.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thank's

You are getting some pretty good frames given your specs. 1.7 G ram ... on a P4 running a 9600? Avg. 39 on the BD in 4.xx is not bad.

This sim is the shizzle! :)

I don't have results yet but I have experienced the same with external views since 4.11

Asus P5K
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz
4 GB DDR 2 @ 400 Mhz
Radeon HD 4850 512MB.

Run track once, then switch FPS counter on and measure avg fps. FPS from first run won't be enough, because HDD performance might affect them. Second run will have most files cached, so fps from it will be more useful for rendering/calculation performance comparison.

I tried to do as suggested by you, and the result is:

First test
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
6724, 144767, 1, 92, 46,447

Repeat test
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
6444, 144892, 1, 100, 44,475

As you see it's true that i gained a few frames (max), but remains a minimum of 1.

I've also experienced constant micro-stutters in well populated servers. But I didn't have this issue when I was playing in 4.101 servers.

I confirm that this occurs only
in the exxternal view in track file. I think it is caused by reading data on hd.
There is a delay in refresh video
In server online causes are different.
