The title says it all. I have nothing further to add to my critical, and urgent inclusion request.

It's a multirole, hence not really good for any of the tasks. The most important thing: it wasn't even on the drawing boards at the time, that early in the war.
I suppose each and every plane from IL-2 will be converted sooner or later to Storms of War, but not for Battle of Brittain; maybe in further add-ons...

I wonder if you know the meaning of "BoB"

What you should hope for is a "Channel Front" add-on for "The BoB SoW" map...I would imagine that they could use the same basic map with perhaps a few added (or date corrected) land marks, and the front line fighters through the end of 1942 or mid 43....that would at least get the FW190A in the game. We would also see the Spitfire V, P-38, and the Mosquito just to name a few.

A for effort Crash, but far from your best attempt.

I'm testing the waters at this new forum. I haven't trolled in years. But I still got a few nibbles.

Actually, despite the obvious ironic/funny intention of this thread i'll go ahead and second the idea of a channel front add on.

Lot's of interesting air combat at a time where the ground front was more or less in a standstill. Jabo runs for the Luftwaffe and Rhubarb missions for the RAF, dashing to the other side of the channel under heavy clouds, bombing and strafing a few trucks or an airbase and hurrying back to base with the enemy scrambling to get you, good stuff ;)

as i said it in the past already:

a “Dieppe 1942” AdOn for SoW:BoB would be nice :)

with flyable planes like

Hurricane Mk.IIc
Spitfire Mk.Vb
Spitfire F.Mk.IXc
Typhoon Mk.Ib
Mustang Mk.I
Boston Mk.III
B-17E

Bf109G-1
Fw190A-3
Ju88A-4
Do217E

Both Dieppe and Channel Front Addons would be great for SOW, but I still hope the earlier aircraft will be modelled for a Battle of France addon.

I'm just hoping the pacific theater will be done better this time. From everything that Oleg has said so far the pacific theater CAN be done very well as it just wasn't possible with il2 (though it could have been a little better).

I agree...but I'm afraid that we will have to wait til "BoB SoW" comes out times two....that would be (at least) 4 weeks away.

I didn't think we did this kind of thing in this forum. Keep that stuff over at Ubi. At least Oleg won't see it over there.

I saw a book on the BOB the other day at Borders that had a FW 190 on the cover. I didn't even bother opening it. I could only assume it was crap, so much so I can't even remember the name.

Maybe that's where crash gets his extensive knowledge from? :P

Me, I'm anxious to try the Lerche with a really kick butt FM in the new system. It really is the historical landmark for the FM that this title needs. That and maybe the Ta-183.

And that flying wing thing.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize I needed to conform to some stuffy, pent up version of what you want me to be. People are posting on and on about how they want this plane and that. I thought I would add a little levity by making an obviously ridiculous request, and make a few people laugh.

You really need to get out more mate. This is a game, not a job. It's stress relief, not stress induction. I've got enough stress at work. Don't need it in my hobby.

So, again, keep your change. If you want to loosen your collar, and kick back a little, please do so. If you want to be so puritan that you can't join in a little levity, then I weep for your blood pressure. Just don't rain on my parade because you have some stick wedged firmly in an unmentionable orifice.

Yeah, that we pretty impressive.

What worries me is that a bunch of people took you seriously.

It doesn't speak well for the mental health of the community (that your request is a assumed serious)

as opposed to that 9 page discussion on the " Pacific Fighters Bombed - inadequate maps" thread that includes links to the "Hack"....I thought this thread paled in comparison... :)

anyway... :) p.s. I don't support the hack...I'm just pointing out that their are some other threads that need "cleaning up".

when you look at all the posts here in this forum your post not ridicolous enough not to be taken seriously :-)

PF does have inadequate maps. It's quite flawed

There is however, not a tone of "nyah nyah Oleg" in that thread. However I detect one here, and very much on purpose. The intent in the two threads is different

I am very much in the manner of Choctaw's sentiments on this thread. As for the other thread, there's much legitimate discussion about various things.

Oddly enough, talking about the "unmentionables" is allowed here.

I didn't feel that was going on here...sorry. I've always been a great supporter of Olegs work.

I understand now, serious criticism is cool (even when breaking forum rules)...light hearted jokes are uncool. My comments are not pointed at Oleg so much as at some of the comments I see here...I have never had a problem with any aspect of "IL2 1946", check the record if you want. Go ahead!
