I very much welcome the more reasonable FAB 5000 blast radius change, but when you land one in the close vicinity of the few static planes (and the guy piloting a human plane siting behind one of them gets blown up) I start asking questions:

Either FAB 5000 needs to be adjusted or the static plane DM.

This is a known bug. It's been here forever.
Probably it won't be fixed in the near future, cause it needs to be properly tested.
Nothing wrong with FAB5000, all bombs will do that.

Yeah, thought as much. Thanks for the reply. Got spoiled by all the good things in 4.11 I guess...

It is only weird that I landed this baby right next to the parked planes and nothing happened. All the buildings and cars / trucks / tanks in vicinity have been destroyed, except the static planes.

You could try this offline and compare the results. From my experience, the big bombs always needed two hits online - one for the small stuff, and one for the actual kills.

Indeed this looks similar like an old bug from the SC2000's characteristic.

It was worse when only the mission host could destroy all ground targets with the SC2000,
clients would bomb with only a single target being destroyed, all building were destroyed as expected with this demolition type bomb.

This wasn't changed for a long time as it only affected CooP missions and not Dogfight servers, I reported the bug for over a year to Oleg & co iirc.

I hope its not returned in v4.11

The bomb in the game has no effect is very bad in 4.11.1v, but one with a 500SC only one direct hit can destroy T34 is too much of a good :confused:
As we fly a SEOW campaign COOP mode, is as important for us :)

4.11 Guide TD
Reworked bomb damage
Bomb damage has been remodelled according to blast pressure strength and splinter density.
Furthermore buildings have been made more resistant to damage. There have also been some
smaller tunings. You will notice the following:
• reduced differences between bombs of similar size and type
• significant reduction in damage effect with increasing distance
• less damage against buildings
• more near miss damage against ships
• more effective torpedoes
• bombs under water are more effective against ships.

Please also note that the huge damage radius of a few bombs is no longer there.

This is not a bug :-(
