View Full Version : This mission will not load on our Server

I have built this mission in 4.10m and hosted it as a dogfight mission myself and it ran beautifully.
The problem is, I have had it uploaded to the _RAAF_Squad server and for some reason it would not load. And even now in 4.11m it will not load and all other maps that have been made at the same time or earlier load and run well with no problems.
Our server runs Server Commander
Some info would be great as I feel this mission is pretty good and would like to be able to use on our server.

I installed it as a Dogfight map (4.11) and it loaded fine. I was able to spawn on both Red bases. The only problem I had was that I could not see any briefing. However, I think there is a remedy to correct that.

Thanks for trying it mate,
I just think it is very odd that we can host it as a multiplayer dogfight and it will run fine. Yet the servers seems to fail to load it.
I have admin access to our server and even tried deleting the moving and stationary objects resetting the weather to default, respawn times to default and had no advanced fog of war selected and only one home base and the mission would still not load on the server.
I would like someone else to see if it will load on another server and see what happens, if they would be so kind.
The idea of the map came from a co-op I made and went back to start the building of this mission from scratch, so would hate to have to bin the idea.
Anyway, thanks. ;)
If mission doesn't load there must be something about it in logfile. Please, post it here.

Thanks for the reply mate,
As requested here's the log file of the mission.
I have noticed that it appears as though several flights that were to spawn and take off, either took off but soon crashed or were damaged when they spawned. This also has happened with another mission on a different map but the mission still loads.
I suppose this is eventlog when one of you hosted this mission? There is nothing strange here. What I need is the logfile from the dedicated server. Keep in mind that Eventlog and Logfile are two different things.
BTW how do you know that mission is not loaded, there must be something that tells you that load was failed. Please, give me that info.

Do you mean the file titled log.lst?
I have apologise I am not a dedi server guru.
Again thanks for your help.

Thanks for the reply Micro,
I have sent an email to our member who has set up the server at his place and asked him to zip the file up and upload it to a mediafire account.
Once I have the link I'll post the link here.
Thanks again for looking into this for me/us.

When I load the map on the server, myself and other players that have connected to the server via H/L noticed the mission loading screen come up but eith it hangs and nothgin happens or the info will show that the map is loading and then will say mission loaded but the screen will not change from the loading screen.
The only way to get past this is to load another map.
I hope that helps.

Here is the requested logs file.
Hope it helps in some way of narrowing down what the problem might be.
Looks like one SFS file is corrupted. Try to replace server fb_maps14.sfs with the new one.

I'll pass that one to the guy who runs the server.
Hopefully that will work.

There are, indeed, some clever people about ......
fb_maps14.sfs was 0 bytes - replaced with the 68MB correct version and all's well.
===========
The error message on the server was "ERROR mission: net/dogfight/hplusone2tds.mis NOT loaded [java.lang.RuntimeExcep
tion: Landscape 'Italy_DF/load.ini' loading error]"
Thnx guys.
