I've been playing around with a few of the features in 4.11 which gave birth to an idea.
You can spawn in a static placed on or near a spawn point but the plane will change to whatever aircraft is selected for instance, the static plane is a P-40, the player picks another available plane for example; a Hurricane. A Hurricane spawns where the static P-40 is placed. My thought is would it be possible to only spawn where a static is placed and only that a/c, once all are used and not returned or destroyed on the ground there would no longer be any of that type available. The mission is created with only 12 P-40's as static and 24 Hurri's as static, once destroyed no more of those types but some other aircraft designated as unlimited or otherwise would be available to spawn in.

My other thought is the Combat Patrol in the AI waypoints should have an icon for that waypoint and the next WP should reflect the amount of time it took to complete the patrol by the pattern flown and time on each leg.

I agree with this, especially the part about the waypoint icon. I've been using the Combat Patrol feature in the FMB and when you have a number of flights in the mission, it can all get confusing because you don't know which waypoints are Combat Patrol.

Even something like changing the color of the waypoint would be a big help.
