S! Alle,
I am having many difficulties with this combination.
At first I was getting crashes to Blue Screen...nv*** was the culprit. I found that the fan on the video card was "stck" at 23 %. I received a BIOS update from XFX and the fan still does not autmatically increase its speed. I am now using RIVA tuner to manually adjust to 85%.
I now receive message that IL2 has stopped working.
I am running the 169.21 video drivers.
i ahve installed the sim into C:\game\UBISOFT\IL2
please help.
Thank you for your time
AMD 64 x2 4200 +

OCZ Gamextreme 700 Watt PSU. + many more fans to cool this down.

Core 2 duo e6600, 2gig cheap ram (not sure the make, may be kingmax or samsung) Chaintek 8800gt, xp service pack 3 and i get 10,438 on 3dmark06.
My guess is I should beat your 3dmark05 score. Will look for a copy of 05 and install it. Unless it was a typo and you meant 3dmark06, then I would say it is a brilliant score.

3Dmark06 wont run under Vista 64 bit sadly, didnt know 3Dmark05 did...
Im waiting on 3Dmark Vantage here my self.

Anyway, you should download the NVidia hotfixes for Vista if you didnt do so already.

Don't sweat it out, ask for a replacement. The videocard should be working 100% correctly from the start. If it isn't, get a new one and forget about other "possible" side effects.

I'm running it no problem on Vista 64 Ultimate.

It didnt want to start because it couldnt find some OpenAL file everytime i tried to run 3Dmark06, it installs OpenAL with it but it doesnt work with Vista 64bit it seems.

Solved it by downloading OpenAL from here:

Worked fine after that.
