GameSpy and Steam

Ok so i heard that there are 2 versions of Men of War: AS,the first is with Steam that you can buy on Steam and the second is only with GameSpy. My question is, if players with diferent versions can meet themselfs in multiplayer, like if they have same multiplayer server or if it is like Steam MoW:AS servers and GameSpy servers.
I dont know maybe this is a realy stupid question, bud i realy want someone to answer it please.

Multiplayer in AS works with GameSpy service. It doesn't matter whether you bought the game via Steam or somewhere else. In any case you will use GameSpy servers.
