Myself and a couple of mates are flying each friday. We have been dogfighting lately, but now we want to cooperate and play some coop missions. I am hosting the game, so we can´t have too much going on. Since we all are from Norway, I saw the Norway map on the FMB. I have made the dogfightmissions we play on, but I haven´t made any coop missions.

Could someone make a quick mission for me so I see how you do it? I am thinking of following scenario:

We takeoff from the same airport in the Norway map. Incoming German bombers are spotted and inbound. German bombers have the mission to bomb a factory/industryarea. We have some flaks at the coast and some around our airport. We are 4 guys so how many bombers with escort will be enough?
since we can respawn after beeing shot down I think of 10 bombers and 5 escorts. Could someone make a mission where the germans have waypoint toward the factory/industry area? And set them to bomb, and then return to home? I don´t how to make ie. BF-109 escort bombers. If someone made such a mission I could take a look at and maybe edit something we would be very happy!

Thanx in advance.

You cannot respawn in Coops. You should keep that in mind, especially when playing with rookies. I don't know about your skill-levels, but maybe it's more handy to have a dogfight mission with ground-targets?

Ok. I thought we could respawn. So if, I get killed, I have to wait for the others to get down before restarting the mission? Hmm...I think I will still try to make a mission or find another scenario with ground pounding instead.

Yeah. I know the pain. I got a few friends flying with me and they wanted to kill something moving and evading after a while. It turned out to be rather difficult, because Coops seemed to difficult for them and without the respawn, it was simply too painfull to start the mission over and over again as soon as somebody got PKed while attacking bombers from dead 6.

Oleg promised AI-planes in dogfight-servers for BoB, so I hope I can get my friends in the virtual skies with BoB again. ;)

I have managed to make BF-109 to escort enemy bombers. Homever, I fail to let them bomb the target. I have set target by choosing it from the "object", and target is ground. Bombers release their bombs too early over water than over the airfield! What am I doing wrong? Is there any mission I can open to see how to set target?

Ok, I have now been able to let the JU-88 bomb the airfield. Now I am making a "Ground pounder" mission where the object is to strafe a moving column with fueltrucks, etc. I have set an waypoint over the column, (Gattack), but my AI friends, just fly over the waypouint, heading for the new waypoint. I even get fired at from artillery in the column, but the AI does not care, and fly to the next waypoint. I even say help, but they say I am cleared at my six. Why can´t the AI see the moving units? How do you set the AI to attack moving trains, units etc?

You'll have to "set" the destruction level or "set" the target for each flight in order to make them attack.

Set the waypoint to "Gattack", and set the moving train/column/ship as the target. This goes for all moving ground targets.
For stationary ground objects, just having a Gattack waypoint in the general area will be enough, since otherwise you'd have to point a Gattack waypoint to each individual object, which you can also do if you them to attack in a specific order...

I believe I'm right, but there were 3 years since I built missions and campaigns :) So correct me if I'm wrong!
Do some tests and see how the AI behaves with different settings.. It can be pretty tricky to get them to do what you want some times..

Good luck!!

Hi Damli!

I've made a fairly historically correct mission of the british bombing Herdla Airfield. Don't remember the date the attack occured. One Scwharm of four Bf-109's were at Herdla at the time, only three of them where ready, and one of them drove into a bomcrater that the british made on the runway, so in the end only 2 germans got airborne. You could of course change that to 4 planes if you like to.
Number of planes, squadrons etc are genuine. I could send it to you if you would like to have it.

I thought the destruction level was for mission succeed or not? Ie: If half (50%) the column is destroyed, blue wins the mission? I may be wrong, is there any tutorial on the mission builder out there that explains such things?
