Nice looking, love twin-engined AC, Bf-110, P-38, Beaufighter, Mosquito, etc.

I just felt, that I get more and more addicted to its shapes and IMHO among all the twin engine (heavy) fighter constructions it is the best looking - beside P-38!

And it was a successfull design too. Strangely enough, that it is rather lesser known in the public (but everyone knows, what a Zero is). :)

Just open a 4.12 development topic and show us the cockpits ;)

Such a beautiful and much needed aircraft. Is it open-day at TD?

Is this a Japanese copy of the ME210/410?

I know the japanes had the plans given to them for the ME262 & they made their own, better, version.

I always loved this plane, absolutely lovely shape, imo the best looking two engined fighter of WW2.

Kashiide is working on the Ki-45. I hope Caspar will soon tell us if it will be in 4.11 or 4.12.

I have said it before and I will say it again. Setup a paypal account -> raise funds -> hire a 3D modeler -> Put it in the game.

Simple as that.

1000 donors x 5$ = 5000$ = costs for reference material + 3D model + cockpit

It looks like it has some kind of Schräge Musik!

It looks like it has some kind of Schräge Musik!

It does on some models! The Japanese had a couple of aircraft including the Ki-45, Ki-46 and the J1N (which had upwards and downward firing cannons).

...which were 20mm cannons, contrary to i.e. Bf110.

Cannos used on Schräge Musik systems were MG/FF or MG151/20 i.e. 20 mm. The Bf-110 had the option to mount Mk108 (30 mm) on the nose.

Actually the Luftwaffe envisioned the use of the Mk 108 as Schräge Musik for sheer hitting power, but pilots found the weapon too clumsy trajectory-wise and prefered the MG 151/20 for this role.

Ah thanks for the correction, CsThor... I always though, it was a 30mm hammer in the 110. Never tried it though.

@Sita: thats not up to us (I mean us two here now). It was meant as a private posting of interest. Really! :)

The Ki-45 is the plane I was missing most in Pacific Fighter, the second is the Ki-44.

I wonder if there are plans to add the Ki-44 by Japancat? I hope one of the DT members here can comment on that.

Do a Google search and you might find some interesting images ;)

That Kashiide is working on the Ki-45 is no secret (i.e. http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?topic=14133.0).
And that he is working with support of us, is also no secret.

Generally no place for rumors.

Same with JP... he is/was working on the Ki-44 for a long time.
And he is working with support of us.

Only really new thing maybe is, that Kashiide was welcomed as a full core member of Team Daidalos meanwhile, because he did a really great job.
