Hey guys, ~S~, I'll be short.

I have a vanilla install 4.10.1 and I'm just wondering what's the best AI mod?

ETA: Also, I've heard UP 3.0 (which I'm planning to download soon) doesn't have AI yet, so if I install it, I would want to switch between the mods (AI for offline and UP 3.0 for online), so I'm wondering what's the best of those "mod enablers-switchers", and can they also switch between different versions (such as between 4.09 and 4.10.1) if the best AI mod in existence works only for the older versions of the game, and not 4.10.1.
I'm not in a position to have several installs of the game on my computer, so that's why I ask.

One option is patience ;)

AI will get some very nice retouches indeed. Sorry, if I don't tell details here yet.

Another is reality.

Op, UP is great for online but dark blue world is really made for offline play and has a wonderful new AI to go with it. I highly suggest you check it out over at SAS.

And the nice thing about the UP/SAS switcher is that you can switch between which version of the game you play in only a few mouse clicks. Very convenient and easy to use.

I've done some googling and until I get access to faster internet again, so I can download both UP 3.0 (cause it's required for for DBW) and DBW, I'll use Certificate's AI mod, which I've found, and seems promising. Anyway, I'm an utter newby noob-noob when it comes to moding IL-2, so I have one more question. For the time being I just want to have one mod, and that is the Certificate's AI mod, and the Modact from SAS is rather large for me (at the moment, that is), so is there another (more megabyte friendly) way to enable the mod?

Also looking forward to that 4.11!

Edit: Never mind... I found that JGSME thingy. :)

Certs AI mid is obsolete and incompatible with 4.10.1
The DBW AI is my h nicer anyway, and is being consistently worked on to be even better with every DBW update.
And you still need the modact, even if using jsgme.
Your best bet is to register over at SAS and have this discussion there.
