Game loads to a black screen (Steam purchase)

Hi Guys,

As per the other thread which has now been locked, my game starts up and starts playing the intro clips.

You are unable to interact with/skip/escape out of the intro movie (cant ALT-TAB into steam community overlay either).

If you wait until the intro videos complete, you are left at a black screen which you cannot interact with, have to use task manager to kill the process.

I have obviously tried verifying 'Integrity of game cache' in steam, and also deleting the local files and redownloading, this did not resolve the issue.

System specs:
Intel Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz
4Gb DDR2
EVGA GTX270
Win7 Pro x64

Would it be fair to assume that this is caused by the version of physX used in this release? I noticed in the log that the PhysX GPU support is coming up disabled in the log, I know that mismatched versions can be a common cause of this issue in both other UE games as well as Source based games which is why many games on steam install their own subset of PhysX drivers that match those the game was built with.

Can you please advise me of which version of PhysX you used for the current build of Off-road Drive and I will test with that?

Go to the Steam\steamapps\common\off-road drive\PP3WorkGame folder and rename folder Movies to, let's say, 1Movies. Does it help?

Thanks for the reply, I forgot to mention that I had already tried this.

It does not resolve the issue. I simply get to the dark void quicker ;)

If you are able to advise me which build of PhysX was used in the development of Off-road Driver I will test with that to see if it solves the issue?

Do you have more than one display connected (TV, other monitor)?

Have you tried disconnecting your Internet connection and then launching the game like some players do?

Ok, to be honest when you suggested this I kind of chuckled because it seemed ridiculous, but... I disabled my LAN adapter and the game launched and is working.

When will this be fixed? ;)

Info about the issues has been passed to developers, they're trying to determine why some players have these problems.
