All Inclusive Uber Patch (v1.10.0.81)

We are thrilled to announce the release of the highly anticipated Theatre of War Uber Patch. This add-on/patch not only adds two new campaigns (total of 18 new battles) to the game, but also includes a full Map Editor, Battle Generator, a new single player mission, new Multiplayer game modes and features as well as 11 new Multiplayer missions and maps plus many game fixes, improvements and performance optimizations.

This Uber Patch will update your game to version 1.10.0.81. Please read below for important information about this patch. This patch is ONLY for the Battlefront.com release version of Theatre of War. It will not work with ANY other version!

Performance and Stability Note:
This patch includes various improvements to the game code to increase performance and stability for regular, hyper threading and multi-core CPU's as well as vast improvements and welcome changes to the Multiplay functions.
License Helper Utility:
If you have had problems with the eLicense program locking up on you in the past when you have tried to enter your license code, please browse into your game folder and double-click on the file called "ToW_Helper.exe", that should now allow the license system to function without freezing. You can also find a shortcut to this file located in the Start Menu under "Programs>Battlefront>Theatre of War>Utilities>License Helper Utility".

Previous Patches Note:
This "All Inclusive Uber Patch" is indeed all inclusive (cumulative) and includes the same fixes and game content that was featured in all of the earlier released patches. This patch can be applied to ANY previous version of the game that was purchased DIRECTLY from Battlefront.com. It is not intended for the any other version of Theatre of War that is available (Russian language version, the versions published by Kalypso Media, Friendware or Anuman etc…)although patches for those versions will be released shortly as well.
Old Save Games:
Due to the changes in this patch, older save games will not work. You will have to restart any in-progress campaigns/battles.
Vista Compatibility:
Windows Vista is not officially supported in Theatre of War, however the 32 bit version of Vista does seem to run the game. The 64 bit version of Vista however will NOT run the Mission-Campaign Editor nor will it run the Battle Generator program.

Green line indicates a clear area with unobstructed line of sight where the flora does not hinder fire; a red line shows an area of good sight without serious (but some) blockage; while a black line indicates places your units can’t see at all.
3. Difficulty level system changed. At NOVICE level, the precision of enemy fire and damage inflicted by AI units were reduced slightly from previous levels. Great that this patch was released but why it is only for battlefront version. I have bought this game from Cenega Poland and it is not working....
When I can expect a patch for my version?

Cenega Poland is preparing to release the patch. You can ask them by writing to the support team (support at 1cpublishing.eu).

This is so screwed up.

I bought the game from gogamer.com the manual says there should be a way to activate the electronic license even mentions battlefront.com's web site.
They don't acknowledge this version. The manual says go here for support
support@cenega.co.uk.
I already ruined one install of the game by downloading the uber patch from gamespot.com and then it asked for a license from battlefront.com. I have looked through all the icons installed with the game. The manual said there would be an icon or button somewhere during the install license unlicense the game. I can't find it anywere.
If you were going to use a license key you should have printed it on the dvd case the manual or the dvd. So what do I do now return the game, which I doubt they would do since I opened it. I would have bought it from battlefront.com if I had known I needed to. But I really never heard of that until I bought the game from Gogamer and installed the patch and found out I have a screwed version. This is very poor marketing and management. So where do I download the uber patch for my version of this game.

support@kalypsomedia.co.uk is an invalid address btw.

the manual stated to use support@cenega.co.uk I sent the complaint there and it at least didn't return it undeliverable. Maybe I can get some help there. I have wasted 3 - 5 hours now on this issue looking for a solution and not playing, next time I want to waste that much of my life being annoyed I will buy another 1 c game. Not a very good way to build a customer base.

Damn ,I sound annoying rereading my posts please excuse my poor behavior, I am just a whiner evidently. I really was having a good time playing this game until I ruined my install with the uber patch. appologies.

Hi,

I have the game version of 1Compagny.
When the Uber Patch will be available for this version?

I do not understand. Why is 1C company posting a message on their forums that a patch is available for a game they distribute but not for their version of the game?

I have the version distributed by 1C Company and yet I cannot use the patch?

This has to be the weirdest setup I have ever seen and 6 weeks after the release of a patch it still is not available to anyone else that has the same software unless you downloaded it from Battlefront.

I find this very bizarre indeed and to see that people are not having their queries answered is also very bizarre.

Sorry guys, since 1C Company is neither a publisher, nor a distributor, but the developer of Theatre of War game, it doesn’t bear any responsibility for the non-action of third parties in regards to the availability of the product updates.

Patches similar to the one done for Battlefront are likely to be done for other Theatre of War versions as well.

Can 1C please provide an estimate as to when the patch will be done. As stated prior it's 6 weeks that passed since Battlefront released their "UBER" patch and we are still left hanging, punishment from buying from the developer I guess.

Forget the fact that my game got hosed because I followed the original links on this site that pointed to Battlefront's patch, which after installed asked for an eLicense.

all we want to know is someone working on a patch, who is it, is it 1c? and why is it taking so long to release a patch for everyone else, it's the same code in the game so why so many delays and different patches?

Although I love the potential of this game I doubt that I will ever buy a game relating to 1C company/Battlefront again if this mess is not resolved. This is not a threat just a fact.

Very frustrated Marsupial

This is REALLY weird.. Please tell us you are working on it, tell us you expect to provide the patch in "X weeks" from now and we will be happy. Not responding is VERY unprofessional. The game is ok but having seen the patched version from a friend of mine that got the Battlefront version there is no comparison..
This situation makes no sense..

I agree with "issos" and "marsupial". I am equally frustrated that the patch has not been released for the 1C version of the game I purchased from "gogamer.com". I thought it was wise of me to save a few bucks anf buy the game from "gogamer" instead of Battlefront. Well, that was a mistake on my part. I had put in a "pre-order" for "King's Bounty" which I will cancel. In fact, in protest, I will not purchase another 1C game until this matter is resolved. 1C has great games but very poor customer service.

Guys, I've already stated, that it's not our responsibiity. We're just the developer of the game, but neither publisher nor distributor. So, the availability of the products updates isn't our business, in fact. So, we're very sorry about the situation, but it's business of the publisher.

My biggest problem is my boxed version has 1C company on the front and back and no word of any publisher anywhere on the box or in the documentation. All it has on the back is "Proudly distributed by NEWERA".

So who is the publisher of mine? which patch do I use, assuming there is one?

I have tried the Kalypso patch and the Battlefront patch and neither work.

Can someone explain this confusion to me? I have never ever heard of this going on before with publishers etc.

Obviously I bought the game and want the uber patch, I can wait but I cannot just sit here randomly installing patches that don't work because I have no idea who the publisher is.

Please can you advise and if not can you direct me to someone that can.

Hi, I advise you to write to Battlefront (on it's forum or to their support team) a message like this: "I have a version, which has on the back is "Proudly distributed by NEWERA".I know that you have distributed the game directly to them, I need a patch. Could you please help me?" They should help you.

Hello.

Actually, there are two NEWERAs, the Thai one and the Singaporean one. What is origin of your version, where did you buy it?

I have this game released by Newera.
It's a Thai version.

For info the default installation directory is 1compagny.

I tried all the patch released (Kalypso, frontline), the result is always the same: no good licence, no good media.

I follow the last post, it's not comprehensible that 1compagny as the architect of this marvellous game can't manage the release of patch for the different release.

Next time, i will thing twice before buying a game from 1compagny

Newera Games in Thailand has a website:

http://www.neweragames.co.th/home.php

It is in Thai, but you can read some of the tab headings in english if you cannot read Thai or are not lucky enough to have a cute Thai girlfriend to translate for you when she is not attending to your other needs.

If a localised patch is produced (possible but do not hold your breath) it will be on the updates page.

Thanks for the replies.

Yes it is from Thailand.

So bottom line is I bought an inferior product that probably will not be fixed.

Thanks!

It appears that GoGamer may in fact sell Czech version (it's in English). If yes, look into nearby thread, i've posted link for Czech Cenega patch.

LOL Don't you think that download speed from your local publisher site in Thailand is not exactly our or Battlefront responsibility?

Don't get me started on what is or isn't 1C Comapny or Battlefront's responsibility because as far as this product goes neither of you have taken proper responsibility with anything.

The same version patch except different patches from different publishers from all over the world, what a dispicable disaster.

So to answer your question YES it was your responsibility as the software company to make sure everybody got the same patch at the same time and yet months later people were still waiting, then to be told go download it at 1.2KB/s somewhere.

Afterall it wasn't as if you were dealing with multiple formats like PC, Mac, C64, TRS-80, PS1, PS2, PS3, X-Box etc..... it was one single format.

So as far as I am concerned Battlefront and !c deserve a roasting for this.

Yes I downloaded it eventually from that faster link. I first did an uninstall of the game because I had been messing around with all the other patches first then I re-installed it from fresh and the patch installed perfectly, no issues at all. I suggest you do the same and do a full un-install before going any further.

Good luck!
