Basically that's it in a nutshell.

I remember watching the small video clips released by 1C on the forums, and being disappointed by the odd camera work and the fact that nothing seemed to be showed of to it's best.

If you would like, I am willing to make a small 2-3 minute promotional video for you using the BoB:SoW game engine, along the lines of what I have achieved with IL2.

That's pretty much the end of the message, but you have my email in this database should you wish to contact me. Just thought I'd offer and hopefully do justice to the game engine that you are developing.

My previous work can be seen here, the best of which is "Not my time to die!"

Yours, Mysticpuma.

My work:

"Not my time to die!", which I thoroughly recommend downloading the 349mb full-res. version, and would prefer you to watch, get it at Mission4today here:

http://mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=1883

There have been others such as this Hurricane ground attack I created for a museum:

http://www.mediafire.com/?0fjzejbbj5i

and another which was called 47 Heaven:

http://files.netwings.org/files/fb_videos/47_Heaven/47Heaven.zip

Finally there is Secret Weapon over Stalingrad:

http://files.netwings.org/files/fb_videos/Secret_Weapon_Over_Stalingrad/SecretWeaponOverStalingrad.zip

These are probably my best known. All use the Xvid codec which can be downloaded here:

http://www.xvidmovies.com/codec/

I have also created in-game videos of Battle of Britain 2: Wings of Victory, showing the particle effect system they use, which I believe would be amazing in BoB:SoW. These videos can be downloaded here:

Interception:

The film (95mb) can be downloaded here:

http://www.mediafire.com/?a3jtnggkgt9

and

Raid:

The file is a 99.5mb .zip which can be downloaded here:

http://www.mediafire.com/?cw24z2gy1rx

Let me know if you are interested, MP.

You might want to jog his memory by telling him that you've previously met and interviewed Oleg for 40 minutes on videotape at the game show a year and a half ago, Mystic.

I whole heartedly recommend a good movie maker for BoB to detail it's great points.

Nice offer MP, I like you, found the IL2 in-house video disappointing to say the least, Your video technique is amongst the best and I hope Oleg takes you up on your offer :)

I can't imagine Oleg not benefiting from an offer like this. Your videos, along with a few others, would do so much more to sell any future sim Oleg produces, than any brief magazine article ever could.

It would be cool for MysticPuma and GlowingAmraam to dual, wouldn't it?

Thanks Ivan and everyone else for your support, I just think it would be worthwhile actually showing off what a great product this is, when you see previous videos released by them, well I think I can improve on them ;)

Cheers, MP.

Your contributions to this sim have been superb!

If Oleg doesn't take you up on this I will be amazed and shocked.

Hey Neil great movies is there anymore you have done as of late?

Mysticpuma

Hi Mastif, Blimey!

Basically the videos that you saw in the first link were the best I've done, anything else like this concept guncam footage:

http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/23110283/m/7081000426

are all test stuff, and not really movies. I've done other bits like this, but as-far as movies go, well, I'm currently doing research for one 'possible' major project, which is going to be 30-50 minutes, and is based on The Checkertail Squadron (325th fighter group). This however is going to be a long process, in which Monguse has already created between 100-150 skins!

Still in concept stage, but should come to fruition 2009 ish!

Glad you like what you saw, as they say "leave them wanting more!" ;)

Cheers, MP.

PS, if you want to see some other Flight Sim (IL2) movies check out Joe90's website:

I finally took the plunge and D/Led "Not My Time to Die." (It's a big file)
The vocals are all fuzzy and distorted. I couldn't get too far into it. I'll have to try and DL it again. It took over 2 hours the first time. Baaaaaaaaah.

Hope Oleg accepts your offer. IL2 series is already known as a "work of art" so it seems a good thing to have BoB supported by media artist Mysticpuma. Apart from the proven quality of your work I believe it would be of great interest for prospective buyers to discover that the video was created by a long time fan.

Hi Robert, if you have downloaded and successfully extracted the file, then you should not have a problem with it. Odd the sound is distorted, usually people complain they can't see the video.

You could download the Klite Codec pack, which contains every codec you will ever need, and also gives you the option of installing Media Player classic, which is better at playing videos than MediaPlayer 10 and 11!

Download link is here:

http://www.free-codecs.com/K_Lite_Codec_Pack_download.htm

I suggest downloading the full version, it is still free and contains all you'll ever need.

Hope that helps, and just an update, still no news from 1C or Oleg :(

Fingers-crossed though ;)

Cheers, MP.

I've not had a problem with any other films you've made, Mystic. (DiVX codec right?)

I think I got a corrupted D/L. After the first minute "Not My Time to Die" plays fine. Then at about 8:20ish the audio distorts. It's the voice acting that garbles. The rest is fine and I'm getting great stereo seperation with sound EFX appearing from varying angles etc etc.

I'll try another download from M4T. If then I still have problems I'll gander over to your above recommended site. Thanks for the reply.

NMTD can be viewed, streaming, at Gamerz Theatre here: http://www.gamerztheatre.com/content/view/165/82/

The smartest thing Oleg/Maddox1C could do is take advantage of the IL-Community movie-makers, specifically Mystic Puma. All the previous promotional trailers released by UBI have been abysmal...horribly lame in presenting the product and stimulating sales. It's been a marketing disaster since day one.

Good Luck, MP!!

A very nice offer, and I hope that Oleg will consider. I think that you should have omitted your first sentence, because it sounds too much of criticism. After all, Oleg may have made that clip lol... Well all quiet on the Russian front.....the offer still stands, but if there is any interest at 1C, would be nice to know. Still I have another movie I'm working on at the moment to keep me busy for the time-being ;) Should be out by 2009

Sorry, I was under the impression that Oleg regularly viewed this forum, as it's the only one he replies in.

Do you have the email address, and I'll send him the link to the post, although I believe, after reading an earlier post by Crazy Ivan, that he has been informed already.

Thanks, MP.
