......Because i think if we didn't then none of us would even bother to get on these forums and post about it good or bad :)
I think the bottom line is that no matter how much you disagree with someones opinion we all want the same thing........
The Next Evolutionary leap in WWII flight Simulation Games :) Chockablock Full of Super fun realistic content and all the Greatness in between, that leaves us feeling like it is a worthy and able replacement for its older brother IL2 46 :)
Some people choose to cheer out loud at the possibility of improvements happening at some point and time, others sit quietly in their corner waiting for as long as it takes for this game to come of age, while others feel the need to write letters to the developers and make sure to bring up every chance they can, what they feel is lacking in the game and can be improved upon. :) No matter what path you follow its your rite to follow it as a fan and customer :)
:) now i am reading that everyone is starting to blame each other, saying that because of (insert any members name here) posting on this forum the developers are intentionally holding back patches and communications as some sort of punishment.
I must say that to me this just sounds incredibly ridiculous as it contradicts good business practices. I do not believe that any previously established and successful company would intentionally punish their customers because they felt unhappy with the quality of the product sold to them and were vocal about it. :)
If anything I would think you would want to rapidly do what ever you could as to quickly turn them into your biggest vocal supporters, thus bettering word of mouth promotions of your product before the negative feed back went on too long:) Especially when the market for your product is as small and specialized as this one seems to be. Just my opinion :)
Its actually what I think makes this forum and its potential visibility to the developers so great :) If they do something very popular they know about it right away and if they do something un-popular they also know about it right away. Ultimately they are going to decide what will be done in response but the feed back is there both good and bad for them to judge. If you take this away though by censoring locking, and or deleting any thread that is deemed not worthy of being read then you remove that which makes it so valuable.
When I first joined this forum almost a year and a half ago I chastised a lot of its members because I thought they were giving unfair criticism while waiting for the next free content update to come out. Some of what i said may have had some truth to it because to me complaining about something you get for free is just silly :) but the rules have changed a bit now and I think i better understand how useful of a tool this type of site can be for game developers.
any way enough babbling from me:)
in closing I still say We all must (Like) this game in our own way:) Maybe not for how it currently is (myself included) but at least for how we want it to be someday :) (myself included)
Cheers all :)
