Hi!

I gave myself a huge x-mas-present: A new rig!!

It is based around a Intel Core 2 Quad 6600 and Nvidia GeForce 8800GT 768Mb. Well actually, the graphics card won't arrive until mid january, so right now I'm borrowing my friends 8800GTS 320Mb, but I guess that goes for the same..

What will be the best graphics settings for this rig?
My monitor is only 17", so I'm running the game on 1280x1024. Not the highest resolution you might say, but it should open for some rather good framerates.
Open GL? Water=3? I really don't know. Any suggestions?

You always want to run in Open GL as its IL2's native API. As far as video settings, I can't imagine why you wouldn't be able to max them out. I run full bore with a 256MB 7800gtx, and even the 320MB card you have should be about twice the card.

As an aside, you might want to try 1024x768 to make the dots more visible at a distance.
