Water looks good, and the pits as well, and it has VR support, that would be interesting. Thats a Dauntless?
Recommended specs Win 10 (will work down to windows 7)
3.0Ghz Intel Core 2 or better
Graphics: NVidia 960 class, or better
DirectX: Version 11
how do those stack up against what ever the latest Il-2 family sim needs.

Wow.
Anyone tried and downloaded the currently available (Beta?) Version yet?
https://www.waronline.com/index.php
Haven't seen anything as outdated for quite a while.
The whole thing looks so much like a game from the early 1990s, it's really beyond imagination.
If that was a "state of the art" game with "high fidelity flight models", then 1946 is probably a game from the future, 20 years ahead of time at least.
Cheers!

Thanks for heads up, I just tried this beta (alpha?).
Very...nostalgic?
Except reflections on the water and on the cockpit glass (the latter is too shaky, imho) and shadows... the rest looks as from pre Il2 era.
Probably too early to discuss FM, but I've got the feeling that they "swapped" models of P-40 and Zero.
One good thing: it runs with 30+ FPS on my meager GT640. :o
Was this "beta-alpha" downgraded intentionally?
A friend of mine just replaced his smartphone with Punkt MP01 (https://www.punkt.ch/en/products/mp01-mobile-phone/). "To detox", as he said. I'll recommend this game to him. 8-)

Nice phone, thanks for the link.
I'd consider to get me one, if it wasn't limited to 2G.
Problem is that 2G has already been switched off in parts of the world, and here in Europe they're starting to phase out 2G right this year and it will be gone until 2025.
Therefore, Funk's slogan "The MP01 is something that you buy and you keep" needs to be extended by ..." on the shelf just to remember the good old days".
Cheers!

It would seem contradictory to put "high-fidelity flight simulation" and "fast-action dogfighting" in the same sentence when describing a game.
Like describing Call of Duty as a "high-fidelity small arms and warfare simulator" with "fast-action FPS shooter".
Crisis of identity, lol.

Lol
That's why there's an MP02 I suppose.
As for the "new sim", the few comments here reminds me where CloD went after it was slaughtered on this very forum.
Deservedly or not.

Oh yes, thanks for the heads up concerning the MP02.
That's really a brilliant one.
However... it comes with Android 8 and as such, regardless how much the device itself tries to simplify your life, you're still stuck with all the issues this brings.
As for CloD vs. WOP, they really don't compare.
CloD is and has always been lightyears ahead of what WOP currently is.
Cheers!

Exactly my feelings towards MP01. So nice and so late. (As F7F?)
I have my small collection of "vintage" items including one Sharp Wizard Organizer from early 1990s...but no, I'm not going to invest into its expansion.
I'll wait until Punkt MP02's (with 4G support) prices drop by at least 50%. I might use it as the hotspot for the laptop or... for Palm TX from my collection? :-P

Did Gaijin try to overcome this contradiction with early releases for Playstation?
I was so intrigued that I bought PS3 at that time. Looked so cool on large TV screen but overall "half baked" with joystick/keyboard issues I never managed to overcome.
