Thank you again, TD. Yet another flawless download, and another smooth, quick patch installation. My much-upgraded Il-2 1946 is working as well as ever!

Mostly it's a fixing of issues of 4.13.3 ... so that is what we must do

Choosing advance menu in QMB instant CTD with 24-bit 2048 & 4096 Skins. 24-bit 1024 seems ok. This is with 24 bit on or off & even when adding the 24 bit class to mods folder and dll's to game root.

Therefor, now I have 28gb worth of 2048/4096 skins now useless in v4.13.4 :-x Luckily I rolled it back to v4.13.3

4.13.4 fix is only for 4.13.3 stock game... and i'm really not sure that stock game support any size of skin more than 1024 px...

Mike's (storebror) 24-bit classes/dll's do support 2048/4096 skins. Ran them no problem with v4.13.3 game. But as said, with v4.13.4 instant CTD when choosing 2048/4096 skins with the 24bit (under misc option) either on or off. :)

Who need 24bit-skins?
I put more value on the flight model than on 24 bit skins!

That's good for you! If I wan't flight models, I make my own. Not being able to use 2048/4096 skins in v4.13.4 is very disappointing. I like to sit in the cockpit look out at the wings and count every rivet, see every scratch, in HD. But that's just me.

in Fact ... without Storebror's Help we can't do the 13.4 ... he with Spud make whole invistigation about issues with 24 bit's skin ...

Thank you Very Much Mike! for your help!)

Sure we do, reasonable people always work for the better ;)

Mike's (storebror) 24-bit classes/dll's do support 2048/4096 skins.
You've totally missed the point.
I never made DLLs for 2048/4096 skins, that was carsmaster's work.
What I did was writing Java Classes to support 24-bit custom bitmap skins instead of 8-bit indexed ones.
24 Bit skins work with 4.13.4, skins larger than 1024x1024 pixel don't because:

4.13.4 target both off- and online environment, and 2048/4096 HD skins online are pretty useless with IL-2's current network skin distribution (which is built for purpose and makes much sense in that regard)
There is no single set of 2048/4096 HD skin DLLs which works for each and every system out there (ask the BAT devs, they can tell stories about it)
2048/4096 HD skins are out of reach for DirectX / Intel HD graphics users

In order to keep custom skin check resource requirements within reasonable levels, TD decided to do a "valid skin" check based on the filesize, which is reasonable too.
Of course you can "fix" this by skipping that check and throwing a set of HD skin DLLs from carsmaster in.
That will work on certain systems, with certain skins, in certain environments under certain circumstances.
Too many "certain"s?
That's what separates a [think of something ... here] mod from a general patch release.
(...and I'm quite sure that the most important bugfix concerning skins in 4.13.4 is still completely unnoticed).

Best regards - Mike

The voids ?
:) Close but no cigar :-P
I'm not the master of fine arts you know, I'm just the coding bitch.
There's people out there pretending I couldn't even do a 16 square pixels texture ;)

Best regards - Mike

Just want to say, I really enjoy the Mule/Po-2/U-2.

Not really the fastest plane, but can come up with some interesting and different missions wit it. Spy insertion/Medivac/ Supply drop to said spy/ Etc.

I really enjoy the change, even if it doesn't give points/objectives.
I do have one question. Without using a bombsight calculator, what's the process for coming up with the drop angle for bombing? The bombsight only has input for drop angle.

The bombsight only has input for drop angle.

yep exactly ... i even seen some angle tables on M4T .... but can't say how right is it ...

but with some expirience even i can hit some moving targets, like train for example ... just for fun ...
