Am strongly hoping for one too. But its not friday yet. Maybe we get an announcement that tomorrow one will come. Maybe not.
Some update on the progress would be nice also - at least.

Agreed, just thinking what to do weekend, but.... it's hard to say because, you know ;)

I'm even happy if there is annoucement "no patch before next week" then i know it, and my soul get peace for this lurking.

I think they will come up with something. If they want to keep driving sales (and it's all about the $$$, it would be in THEIR best interest to offer weekly proof that they are quickly and consistantly chipping away at the LONG list of things that are broken in this game.

Yes, new patch would be really good for the weekend.

When was the last "official" patch (non-beta) released?
I do believe the devs are hard at it...but, it seems the Marketing
Department has left the building....the NA release date is coming
soon? I hope............

Would love a patch before the weekend too. I can't play multiplayer at all right now due to lock-ups/ crashes when joining any server :(

Patch release intervals

A patch is released

you apply it and fly it

you come back and report on your findings or not

the devs read what you say and review your system stats

the devs may spend several additional days or a week or more working with the issues discussed

Then the devs will accumulate fixes and corrected items.

A patch will be built as possible

Voila! Another patch is released... and so on.

Patch releases are not like weekly updates

And here lies the biggest problem facing the developers. How much time do you think they have to read through pages and pages of crap.I remember one post Luthier wrote and he stated in highlights to not go off topic.Well f%$k me the very next post did exactly that. Oh yeah while i am here my joystick does not work properly can you fix it soon:rolleyes::rolleyes:

In a sinking ship, is advisable to patch the holes faster than that, sorry to say...

IL-2: Cliffs Of Dover isn't a regular game release, is the crap release of a broken as hell software, but an amazing one.

All I wrote is obvious, as is obvious too that all here know how patching software work, and we don't need further explanations. We jsut want major bug fixes fast - we pointing them all ASAP!

Inclined to agree a bit, just take a look at the Steam statistics for the most played games. CloD hasn't been on there for weeks now and you don't need more than a couple of hundred players playing the game at the same time to get on there. Pretty much says it all on which way this game is going, unfortunately.

People should be really grateful that CoD isn't handled like SH5.
But then, maybe its IN not to be grateful, ok, bashing is way easier.

Well I reformatted the computer and haven't installed Il-2 again , it was too broken to install and i've finished the campaign anyway. Online doesn't interest me . When good mods come out i'll put it back on.

As long as the next patch works properly, I'm content to wait a bit.
The last beta seemed to break as much as it fixed. (Not a criticism by the way, just an observation.)

The fact that it's been some days since the last patch lets me hope that the next one is THE patch... the patch to end all patches!
Well, hope dies last, I guess

Bad metaphor. If it was a sinking ship all the wingers and moaners would have left by now! ;) These people obviously come here as a kind of sport!

Also in a sinking ship things get worse as time goes by. We have the beta patch, which was an improvement for me. and we will be in the same state until the next update.

I hope they don't release a official patch until it is ready.

Cheers!

If they expect to have boxed versions in the North American market by May 24th they will have to go gold soon.Time for one more patch though.Unless the release date gets pushed back again.

It's a steam game, real gold day is when it unlocks steam, so long they can do 0-day patch for it what installs same time with the game.

I think we get 1 patch soon and second patch on US launch date.

There are supposed to be boxed dvd versions available on the 24th.From Best Buy and Amazon.com.

So if they want to have physical disks in the stores by May 24th they had better hurry.

Yes, if there is a patch after the disk is pressed it will be upgraded on the steam install.
