Patch 1.17.5.1 problem

Hi,

This is my first post on these forums.

Im having a problem with this patch (1.17.5.1). Ive bought the game today and had a little go on singleplayer just playing the original version (1.02) i think.

Now i want to play online and i see everyone has patch 1.17.5.1, ive downloaded the patch and installed it but now when i go to run the game a system error message comes up:

'The program can't start because d3dx9_40.dll is missing fro myour computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.'

I have tried reinstalling and it doesn't work, I already have adobe directx 10 (or whatever the newest one is). And ive also tried uninstalling directx10 and reinstalling 9 but that hasnt worked either.

Please help i just want to play online!

Really appreciate any help, im on windows 7, 32 bit by the way.

download and install DirectX 9.0c.

windows 7 contain only DirectX 10 after installing operation system.

same problem with men of war gold edition (in spanish) and i dont know waht to do to patch to the 1.17.5.1. The launcher the game has doesnt update the game.

Is the problem still present? Some weeks ago i made a modded patch for a user. it is for 1.17.5.1 german version, but you can also use it in other europe countries, because it works without registry-entries. attention: just save your original language "localization.pak" before installing this and write it back into your installfolder.
