Damn i'm sad because i work and have some money, but no credit card access, i wish i could deposit from bank to paypal to buy it from steam or something.
Worst still, original hard copies here will cost me a kidney and will come very late
Has anyone from third world worked around this problem?
Wish you all lucky buyers a happy maiden flight!

In Uruguay if you dont have a credit card you can get a pre paid international card card that is accepted by Paypal.
You deposit the money before you buy, and then use your card.
I´m buying with steam

The a$$ of the world? Sounds like an interesting place to live - and we demand to know the true name of your country! I always thought Sjöbo in Sweden was the a$$ of the world...

Ahh, here in Sweden we have a very romantic view of Argentina with the wide Pampas and pure blue skies, real men eating enormous steaks with cool hats ;)

Ah well, what smells bad here are most DC ego and old fashion colonized country corruption, but we do have wide and fertil countrylands that rich people use to breed cows and sell it outside. The "gaucho" similar to north america cowboy, is a very particular folk, very spanish in origin (high pride and temperamental) and without so much gun, they where more of long knife (called "facón") people.
Argentinean steak should probable be in the worlds best "bife" or "churrasco"
If some countryman sees my poorly short written description would want to kill me, but i'm too worried looking for ways to buy me COD

Would say Brazil isn't far for being part of it,even São Paulo, the South American New York.
Had a tough time looking for IL2 1946 in the "standard ways".Euro games are not common here.Eastern europe games, forget it.

If you thing uruguays are corrupt and live the same way back in the 19yj century, you probably didn't saw us.

And Paypal = Please rob me,Mr. Hacker.

Interesting discussion of perceptions of countries. It is interesting as they are so varied (and the most peculiar opinions invariably come from those people who actually grew up in a country - eg. my views on Canada)

If you really want to save money - you might try ordering the Russian version on the grey market - you will still pay shipping, but the cost may be lower. Unfortunately, you'll need to learn Russian or get someone to create a UI patch (with is most likely possible).

Well, even here, a little above the Armatian "a$$ of the world" U$ 45,00 - price for download CloD from Just Flight - doesn't force any gamer to not to eat for buy (or learn Russian :) ).

If someone don't have International Credit Card, or like Bf-110 don't trust in Paypal, take the money and ask a friend or parent with CC to buy for him. Some times I made that to buy Paypal credit for buy in eBay. :)

Some gamers communities - like www.redorchestra.com.br - buy Stean games for members without CC, is just mater of send money for local bank account.

After all, CloD is unlock in Stean for this "restoftheworld" corner only in Abril, 19. More "tree weeks". :)

Take some beer.

BTW - Bf-110 if you need a physical DVD: http://www.yourself-online.com/ Obvious after release in UK. ;)

Sorry....It easy to write in spanish.

Armatian, here we have a pre paid card especially created for online transactions, its the Alpha BROU card, lets say you are going to buy COD, so you put U$S 50 in your account and then use your card, this way you dont need an international CC and you are safe from hackers.
Plus you dont need credit approval.

But better go with the ECV56, ya que son tus coterraneos y seguro la tienen mas clara.

And Bf 110 Uruguay is with Chile, the less corrupted country in south america

Hi,[URU]Aker I'm planning to spend a week stuying in your beautiful country capital Montevideo (the swiss of South America) in April.
Regarding CoD I bought mine on gamesplanet and my D/L link will be activated on 30/03/2011
But I needed to use an international CC.

Buying a Russian (or even UK I guess) version is not an option because Steam would not let you activate Russian version in America. Steam activation is area|country dependant as the price is different in different areas.

I do not know however if all South and Central American countries belong to one region. You should probably write to Steam and ask them directly.

Great lbuchele, i hope you have a great time in Montevideo! And if you have time come to Punta del Este my home town you will love it, we have lots of Brazilians comming in the summer, specially revellion, and some staying to live here.
Uruguay was considered in the 50s and 60ss the Switzerland of America, I think now we are going that way again.
