WW1 Downloads & Patches ?

Does this game have any updates or patches of any kind ?

The info text at the start of the missions is nothing but a bunch of little squares like its encrypted.

Also there are sections for custom maps but I don't see any kind of Map Editor so is there one for this game and where can I get new maps ?

I made the mistake of buying this game last year. It is a brilliant little game if not historically accurate.

However, there is no patch available nor is there any apparent support. I sent an e-mail to 1C some months ago asking if they intended to produce a patch to resolve problems with this game but no reply. I get the impression that it is not one of their best earners and so they have lost interest. Needless to say I wouldn't buy any more of their games.
