We are very interested in your opinion on our games and wish you tell us what you think about The Tomorrow War. What are you waiting from this game? How do you like graphics, gameplay, sound, advantages, disadvantages and so on. Feel free to express your thoughts. :)

I'm a very big fan of space sims so I'm definetly waiting for this.
Seen videos of this and I must say it looks very good, although maybe a little slow paced, but that might be a good thing.

But one thing I really like is the fact that you can talk to other npc's in between missions, meaning it really is story driven. I like my games with a good story.:D

The graphics do look good oh and the ability to fly to planets is always welcome.
So I'm hoping great things from this game and I'm just wondering when the english release is due?

Hello, I am MicroJak, of Spacetrace Forums.

I was annoyed a few days ago when a member of this forum posted a spam topic on our forum, spacetrace, trying to 'drum up buisness'. We thought it was a spambot, but later I have found out that it wasn't.

If you want to use Spacetrace Forums, use them respectibly and not to advertise ceratin games such as this one.

Thankyou, and please don't do it again, ok? Thanks :).

well, i just found out about it in gamespot few minutes ago. i haven't played a space sim since... huh, freespace 2.

what am i waiting? well, basically, for a well told story and believeable charaters. since it's based on a series of books i am sure that it can have one. freespace 2 is a fine example of a good story.

my perfect space sim is the one that gives you the feeling of being just one small soldier in a big army. yet, one that can make a difference. i will always remember freespace 2 final mission.the one with the whole army around you.

also, i wouldn't mind a joystick support.

about graphics, as long as they look nice it's ok.

PLEASE sell the game via steam. games in steam sell more then people know. and it will allow everyone around the world to buy the game.

No steam...no way.

1C has a deal with paradox which allows them to digitally distribute their games via gamersgate. No program like steam needed to play the game.
you just need the gamersgate downloader in order to install the game.

I like that way better than steam.

contrary to you i like it that steam got all of my games. no 500 different folders in program files, no 500 different groups in start->programs etc. everything a click a way. no need to even deal with the installation or cd keys. also, this new community section in steam look fantastic. it is embedded into the game itself. in any game just just ctrl+tab and it shows up in a second+you get built in voice chat for any game.

If you guys can make a space sim with the depth and true sim qualityies like IL2 then you will hav a winner. If the spacecraft have a wide range of flight models and damage models, you will have a winner. I hope for craft that do not turn on a dime where the combat is too fast and tight cornering. make it like a ww2 in space sim. Trust me do it.

cheers

Hi guys,

Because we were talking about The Tomorrow War on the Spaceforce Rogue Universe forums and I said that there was still no release date known for the US and Europe, someone was so kind to point me to this topic.

If its really true that we can expect it over here in Q4 2007 then I know you would make a couple of us guys very happy.
The game looks very interesting with a good storyline and I personally am attracted by the planetary part

Keep up the good work and looking forward to a more precise release date.

Any idea already if it will also be made available via digital download?

EDIT:

Maybe one thing I would like to point out already, make sure that there is good voice acting because that can be very annoying if its done badly.
Thx :)

At the end of October the online store will be launched at our website, so the game should be available there after the release.
Thank you for your question.

Now I got one more question and totally forgot to ask it before, but is this game lineair or free roaming?

Evgeny

The game is linear. Thank you for your question.

LtJamesWatts

Ok thx. No problem though if its done in a good way as it can stand for a better story.

I saw that you mentioned in this topic that its due for Q4 2007 but when I look at the main site then it says a release date of spring 2008.
Which of those two are the most likely?

By the look of things this game will have an epic story so I hope it'll also contain some plot twists which I'm a sucker for
Is there in some way romance in the game?

Now I haven't seen much of this game in terms of videoclips so I was wondering if you can play it also in first (cockpit) view as I saw third person view already on some YouTube movies and screenshots?

Another question that pops in my mind, can you use the hat switch of the joystick to look around if there is a first person (cockpit) view?

Can you also tell me who will do the voice acting, is it a known team from other games or local people who will perform it in English?

One last for now, any idea how long the game is?

Sorry for all these questions but I'm sure that other readers would like to find out about these things too and I hope you don't mind if I come up with some more :)

Well, as for the release date, it was moved to the spring 2008.

Then, yes, there will be kinda romantic story.

There will be a first-person view.

As for the hat switch, yes, you can do this.

The game is 30 hours long.

Thank you for your questions, if you have any more, then feel free to ask. I'll be happy to answer them.

This should be my final questions so don't worry and I think most will answer the questions everybody else might have too

- How many missions are there in the game?

- What the planetary missions concern, how many times do you actually go down on a planet to fight it out and can you land on them whenever you like or is this also lineair?

- On planets do you get out of your ship and are free to walk around?

- How does advancement take place, will you get higher in level and be able to buy some better stuff or do you get it automatically? Do you gain medals also?

- Are there different difficulty settings or is there some kind of choice between arcade and sim?

- Do you always get to fly the same ship and upgrade it during the course of the game or do you get to fly different ships?

- If there are different ships that the player can use, do they all feel the same in term of flying?

- When your ship gets upgraded (if that's the case) then will you see it visually?

- Can you explain something more on the missions the player gets involved in, meaning are there varied types of missions such and search & destroy, escort missions, etc.?

- How many systems does the player get to visit during the course of the game?

- Do you usually get to fly alone or always with wingmen?

- What kind of weapons are there in the game?

- Is there really no freedom in the game in terms of gameplay or do you have the option to choose which mission you prefer to do next?

- Will there be an SDK available so users get to create there own missions, story?

- Will hostile NPC's taunt you?

- Do you also get to dock in capital ships, space stations, etc?

- When can we expect a new trailer?

- Will there be add-ons or sequels?

Maybe you should create a new topic for this and make it a Q&A with all the questions I've asked  .

I'm really interested in this game, and the sequel, but I have not news about the release in Europe or, at least, in any english speaking country.

I'm a big fan from I-War series and I would like this game would follow the same style. Really, the game I dream is something like an I-War 1 with multicrew in multiplayer, great history, cooperative multiplayer gameplay, newtonian phisics...

Surely Tomorrow War will not be that game I'm dreaming, but at least it has some good points. I hope you release it in west countries some day.

Regards.
