I just got the ToW Kursk and I was ready to enjoy but...

I crashes to desktop all the times when I hit "START BATTLE" button.

I tried Affinity, administrator, re-install, anything. No luck

I have Win7, 64-bit, i7 920, 2x4870 crossfireX

I hate when this happens to a new game. And I bought it just because I have 3 days free from work. Damn!

Any ideas?

Hmm, i would try to disable Crossfire first and see if this helps. On the other hand, does your CPU have Hyper-Threading feature? If yes, can you disable it?

OK, that's it. It does not like Crossfire

I have a similar problem. TOW 2 Kursk crashes every time I try to apply settings or to start the tutorial. I have a Dell Precision M6500 laptop with Win 7 Ultimate 64bit, i7 X920 processor, 12 Gbyte RAM and a Nvidia Quadra FX 3800M graphic adapter. Any help would be much appreciated

If it crashes when you try to save settings, make sure you're running the game using 'Run as Administrator' context menu command.

Thanks for your reply sneaksie. It does also crash when I hit the start button in tutorial. I looked at the log file (see below) and it seems to have problems with the game.ini.

Btw. I am running version 1.3.2 of the game.

I recently downloaded this from an online store, Game, in the UK. It ran once and now all it does ist start up. I get the update screen, and then start the game. The screen goes black as if to start then minimises to the task bar and is status not responding.

Many thanks in advance. I have scoured the internet looking for solutions. To no avail.

Try to delete 'users' folder (its inside the game folder) or move it somewhere. Then eneable your game settings one by one to determine which one is causing trouble.

AndyMitch1969: I had a similar problem, on an Intel CoreDuo 8400 and a GTX 260 graphics card, using a resolution 1900 * 1200 - like you. The game would start, but after a certain amount of time ( a few minutes into the scenario) the system locked up, requiring a hard reset.

I solved my problem by going to a lower resolution. I managed to complete a scenario. In addition, the system was far more responsive.
