track ir : need help

hello gents

i know this is may not be the best place to get help, but im sure you can figure this out:

i recently bought a track ir and its not being a pleasent experience,

besides all the loss in-flight of tracking and jumps, im having huge difficultys gettign it started.

every time i close the software it goes dead, if restart it i get a "application failed to start error" - the normal XP error
unnistalling and installing the software used to work but not anymore.

other than that, when it used to work i still had to spend a good 10-15 min calibrating the damm thing mainly becosue it failed to save my previus set up.

I cant believe that such a aclaimed porduct is this buggy so im guessing im screwing up. any help?

win xp 32 bit

hardware:
track ir 5
quad core something
3 gigs ddr2 ram
ati 5770

I had the same problems with my TrackIR 4 and the TrackIR 5.0 driver. So I went back to the TrackIR 4.1 driver and all went fine. Maybe its not compatible with the newest version, but just as a thought.

the 4 version runs but ive got no ideia wehre is the "start button"

how do i get the 4 software going?
