hi, first time that i work over sounds in il2!

with new fantastic radio upgrade, i'd like create an adequate radio music!
i think that is wonderful sound track make a bomb run with Heavy metal played in radio!
i know, a bit unstorical :D

so, wichfile sound i need to put in?

read me file say that i must put in a mp3 file with riff and renamed in .wav format, but it doesntwork

so, my questions are:
what is riff? how i can aplly it at mp3 file!
wich quality must have the file? i've used 192kbits, 44100 stereo
i've used sosny studio7, i've used a wrong program??

First chose your tracks

then if they are in mp3 format use for example
this freeware tool : Free Mp3 Wma Converter V1.91

and restore them first to wav format.

Then with a version of wavelab or an Audio editor of your choice

you will convert them again to :

Extention : .wav

Audio format : mp3

Channels : (the same as source)

Sample Rate : 44100Hz

Encoding : LameEnc / 192 Kbps, 44100Hz Stereo

Here's a batch for the :Grossdeutscher_Rundfunk

http://www.zg52.com/zips/Grossdeutscher_Rundfunk.rar

and you extract it here :

Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\samples\Music\Radio\Grossdeutscher_Rundfunk

ok, all done.....but i don't ear sounds ( exept default radio sounds).

i think that files are now in right format (like you have posted).

maybe a make some errors building mission and or chosing channels?

i create a mission in FMB putting in radio object (Radio_rome).
so i put into radio rome folder the audio files (for make good test i've downloaded your files too).

in flight i switch to radio rome channel, but i didn't hear sounds (except the noise default radio noise!)

where is my error???

naturally i've put the files in radio_rome folder, under music section :D

:\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946_4.10\samples\Music\Radio\Grossdeutscher_Rundf unk

the name of the sound file must be the date from the Mission like:

19400615.mp3

but for some real realstic music from the time, if flying for the Germans, would be this music from M4T: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=4003
