View Full Version : PabloSniper Chair Simulation

Hello everyone, well, I'm creating a chair for lovers of air simulation.
She is currently in beta, but it has pedals, throttle, and other axes and buttons that enable a very high level simulation.
and I plan to industrialize this product using a 5 track.
The joystick would free the user's choice

Now, this looks very cool!
For what I can see, it looks like a first prototype, something done more to see the feasibility of the concept ?
As a first attempt I can say "very good".
Good luck!! Hope to owe one of it one day...
Cheers

Voce pretende usar algum tipo de "Force Feedback" para simular impactos, turbulencia e outros? Já existem uns com sistemas hidráulicos.

Worked on a cocpit a few years ago, then a move killed what i had of space, and all i have is the drawings....
My system was werry simple, i took apart a MS FF2 and looked at the components, not the triggers and buttons, but the "shake" engines etc.
They are actualy fairly simply, can stil not belive they stoped producing them...well back on topic...
I just made a copy of the compenents with some heawy duty engines, mounts etc, welded a plate ontop of the console, mountet a racaro racing seat, made a prolonged stick wired it all to a match of the ms FF2 and voila i had a FF seat. The awsome part is that its made to run as a ms FF2, so you plugged it into a usb port, the power was external as the joystick, so you used the FF from the joystick to "bump" around....never got it complete, but i have a dream that i can make anotherone, get it tuned and simply a glass fiber cocpit around it....but well....one day....atleast i have pictures, drawings etc.....one day....one day i sit in my FF cocpit...or XXXXXXXXL FF2 lmao....

Ok here an announcement:
Yesterday evening, Brazilian time, my telephone ringed. I attended and it was Pablo.
We had a long and very productive conversation, and now I'm part of the project.
From now on, I'm in charge of the Public Relations and International Contacts of the "Firm".
Some few infos about the future development of the project, and to partially answer to Hirt's question:
In the future, the prototype (now designated as PS-1000) will be modified and enhanced to develop the full force feedback, and not only this...
We mean (in the future with an already well estabilished production capability) to accept orders for "personalized" PS-XXXX "cockpits". This mean that if a customer will desire a cockpit of the PS series to reproduce the cockpit of a North American P-51D Mustang or other aircraft, we'll make it for him.
I will be personally in charge for such developments like travelling to museums, airshows and to visit warbirds owners around the world to take pictures of the real thing, measurements, and all what will be needed to make things become truth.
Thank you...

Pablo, I am very pleased to read that you are still hard at work on this project.
I have been aware of your efforts for a little while and I am happy to read that you have not let things stand in your way
Good luck and I am anxious to see the finished product

Já eu sou meio Americano (USA), meio Italiano, considero-me cidadão do Mundo, coleciono passaportes todos validos, e falo também um decente Brasugués... Ah sim morando no Brasil há já uma decada.

Before you build the production capability you should try to get the orders first.
It's a nice approach, although I know of at least 4 companies who offer the same - custom warbird cockpits.
Also you shouldn't overestimate the market, it's very small niche, especially if your selling a product in the 4 digit price range.
But hey, surprise me - maybe you found the holy grail of flight sim peripherals. :)

if only one person in the world knows your passwords, who could steal them?
password stealers are fucked
Is this some kind of happening?? On almost every board dealing with IL2 1946 this fellowing is chatting away about his password problem
Maybe I should start a few threads about a napkin I dropped?

Wutz, I really hope this is not a sort of attack against Pablo.
I can confirm what he is reporting, and can say that the police was activated and the thief is already responding for his deeds.
Thank you.
Pablo, leave the public relations matter to me. It's for what I'm paid for... ;)

Im looking forward to the updates around this chair, mostly because its something i have worked on my self. I found my old budget for my own chair, and it would be around 1000$ all included.
But looked around the net today and the parts are around 40% cheaper now, if i order from china i can get it 50% cheaper. Im thinking on talking the verbal fight with the GF and start making a new one.
I love to se Pablo`s aproatch to this :) Im just upscaling a FF2 hardware so its large and powerfull enough to have a cocpit mountet on top.....
well...Pablo looking forward to updates :)

im with wutz on this one, people should be descrete regarding this kind of problems, unless you are seeking help, no need to inform the world that your password has been stolen...

sooo.... what kind of a strange thread is this? i see a metal frame, something chairlike and some vids who doesnt display the threads title in action, only ingame footage without anything impressive but the game it self.

I don't mind at all. I post this to inspire people with low budget but high expectations :)
My "cockpit" is a real mess. Pablo is doing something he can even sell... "Pro" level!
But my "2 cents" is about people looking more seriously to the easily and cheap "elongated" Thrustmaster T16000M in central assembly as control rod in WWII simpits. I'm using one for more than one year and it's great.
That's my suggestion to any serious WWII simpit builder: instead of using expensive solutions, try to use some cheap but PRECISE stick with central mount.
But what I feel is that people don't believe that a cheap solution can be more precise than an expensive one. And it's really sad, because this behaviour make the hardware prices goes high...

Very interesting! I would like to have one of these before I get to old to sim flying. Do you have any idea of price and when it will be fully operational?
Espero que tudo corra bem!

Wow, I would love one. But that is some serious kit to store, wish I was rich. :(
Good luck it's an excellent product.
Looks like fun. I guess it's using yaw-bank-roll data, not G-forces (calculated XYZ vectors)?

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Sokol1 is joking. As far as I know, that's not Pablo's chair. It's a 360º-2 axis-motion platform developed by 3 engineers: the Sffair-Boessio partnership. It has evolved from a previous one that was object of an academic paper/experiment a few years ago.
I've noticed Sokol1 smiley face at his post... :-)
Anyway, the good news is: we have two chances of something commercial to pop up from these two Brazilian ventures.
I'm anxious to see Pablos chair and also curious to try that MotionFX...
