Edit- My apologies if I posted in the wrong forum.
About a month back purchased a retail copy Kings Bounty: The Legend from my local SuperStore - Big W (live in Australia, never seen a hard copy of KB in Aus until recently), anyway to the point.
After running the install on the game it automatically tried to run the readme.exe file (Yes, it was an .exe file). Thankfully avast stopped and blocked the folder/disc from doing any harm. Running a scan on the file pops up with the virus "win32malware.gen" located in the file.
Unfortunately the store won't do a refund because I've broken the seal, and left it too late.(fair enough, had the game sitting around for roughly a month before I even bothered installing) Never had a problem with an install disc being infected but this makes me more alert, or just stick to buying games from steam from now on.
Bought Armored Princess from EB this week, no problems.
Never-the-less hoping no one else has the same problem, better to be safe then sorry.
