For those who can access them, (and that may be confined to those in the UK, I'm not sure), the BBC archives are a rich source of live radio and TV broadcasts, as well as textual archive documents, and immersive content. I have searched for Winston Churchill's "Storm of War" speech but so far without success.

Listed below are a few of the archives that should interest all who look forward to flying BoB SOW.

Thanks for the links Peter.

If the 'Storm of War' speech you mention is the same one I'm thinking of, it's part of the 'We shall never Surrender' speech, downloadable from the BBC site you quote.

It's dated 04/06/1940, or 1940-6-4 as they date them on the site.
Let me know if this is the one you mean;
'To ride out the Storm of War, if necessary for years, if necessary alone'.
If so, it's the one I'm thinking of.

The Imperial War Museum online shop also sell a digitally 'cleaned up' double CD, which I have on in the car a lot, Ref: RRCD377/378/IWM.
It's titled 'Churchill's Famous Speeches' (not very original!) and includes this speech also.

Cheers

Thank you Dutch. It is indeed the very same speech. I just couldn't find it on the BBC archive site. I must go back and look again.
I quite often visit the Imperal War Museum Collections site, (there are some fascinating photos there), but hadn't visited the Shop site.
I've just ordered the CD. Many thanks for the pointer.
I started looking for period broadcasts etc following Oleg's comment on page 40 of the 2020-10-08 thread. I should have remembered your response on the next page and asked where you found the speeches!
Regards
Pete

Although the BBC Archives site may not be accessible non UK residents I would expect that the Imperial War Museum would be.

Imperial War Meuseum home page is at:

http://www.iwm.org.uk/

access to other interesting areas including the Shop from there.

Scroll up slightly. They can be downloaded as rar files.
