Increasing draw distance?

I messed with some of the camera settings in the nvdd.ini (~cl_warfog, ~cl_building_lod_dist, ~r_fog, and others) and was able to get the camera working how I like it but nothing seems to affect draw distance or fog. I have a pretty decent machine & would like to see further. Plus the bloom in the fog is way too bright on my machine, can't figure out how to decrease that either.:(

Anyone more software savvy than me know what might I might do to change these details?
