There are many tools that make a simulator as SOW almost similar to reality.
orientation, depth ', acceleration can not be simulated in a flight simulator.
we have this important instrument doday for a game simulation.
TRACK IR: HEAD MOVEMENT
CLOCHE:HANDS MOVEMENT
and BODY?..............
AS I CAN?
have a sense of acceleration and depth '? the sense of emptiness and lack of breath?
i loock a important machine for simulate All the axes of rotation.HUMAN ROTATION.
this machine call AEREOTRIM:

this machine is' good but does not simulate the turning of an aircraft when it stalled.

You're gonna need a biiiiggg house..
I want someone to develop this so it's affordable. In conjunction with headtracking this would be really immersive.

I thought the thread title was 'Stimulate the body and mind' and it was a quote from some old newspaper advert

Haha it sounds a little cheesy right? But then again, I really miss better affordable VR equiment myself. Not really for shock and vibration but rather orientation and visuals.
On the sub, there was a rather successful project of a hydroglider / low altitude plane though. Kind of similar. It was a ship that would fly at 2 meters altitude or so when speed up. It could carry a huge load of material however and was gigantic. I would have to get my books out to find the correct name though and it'd be too off topic anyways =p

Madfish, You're probably thinking of ground effect vehicles - like the Soviet Ekranoplan:
