hey ppl...i looked through the end movies and wondered how to get the corporate/triad ending where you end up a hero
anyone got this one?
when i got for triad i end up killing imus stepdaughter and then facing the berserker hordes...
i even managed to destroy all berserker fighters and several of the respawning super chimeras...(emerald shields and 3 tungstens+kalem piloting did the trick mainly) but sams manticore seems to have fixed hp as my 2,5k damage major cannons didnt do anything to his shields...
the only other option seems to be to leave the system and this triggers the ending where the "metal avalanche" rolls through a lot of systems(although actually halted by my mothership^^)
so this doesnt seem to be the right path...so which is it then?

I got a different ending on that path -- If you destroy the three chimera which defend SAM, he will try to run away. If he leaves sensor range you get a somewhat peaceful ending (but which ends with the common scene of transports being wiped out by a symbiont army)

Likely you just have to destroy the Manticore for that ending... I suggest coming from above or below SAM, behind his guards, if you can, otherwise they end up right between you and him -- then fly Alice in with 4 Supernovas (with Deadly Missile I believe it is well over 75,000 damage per full volley). Before the bombs hit though, use Depolarizer on SAM.

An interesting variant of this is, using MIRV-2 Reapers instead of Supernovas. These missiles do equal damage (if the Reaper only hits one target) but since you can carry 3 of them per launcher you can put out more damage, more quickly

alice ran away when i took out tan imu...we found evidence of where her daughter was taken and she had to follow it...
and anyway...its not a matter of lacking firepower for the manticore...
i destroyed the WHOLE berserk armada...and a lot of those respawning super chimeras...like a dozen or more...SAMs manticore just didnt take any damage at all (and two major calibre cannons with a total of 2,5k damage should make an impact...they wasted super chimeras in like 10 sec...not to mention the turrets...)

what did you do to keep alice? and did you kill min imu or have you also just found his daughter tan?

I think what I did for that quest was, chose to wait in the first system out of Cadenoa when given the chance (I think it's Uhle system?) Anyway, fly to the middle of the system and Aja ends up meeting the younger Imu sister, who reveals that Min's death is not the worst pain she can inflict on him. Basically, you agree to leave Min alone, in exchange for information on his accounts and the promise that she leaves Triada... basically, that fight never happens.

I never had Alice asking to leave the group, because it was covered in the endimg movie I earned that Triada was dealing with what's his name underneath Trump, in the MSF, which had to do with Marika's disappearance... I wager that if this information is brought up before the end, it would cause Alice to depart on this mention beforehand.

As far as defeating SAM goes, you really should try to use bombs on him. My experience concerning weapon types reacting to a shield is, for some reason only particle turrets do any noted damage to a shield (they seem to resist all kind of damage even without laser-inhibitors). This is easily solved, of course, by teaching Kalem his Depolarizer perk and wielding it against the Manticore. You can also use Hacker Attack skill, if your main character specialised in systems operation.

thanks for the additional insight into your gamepaths i will try to go this way next playthrough

concerning the damage...there should be no damage mitigation for plasma+kinetic cannons...which were the main damage of my mothership...and as i said...no effect
