loock this immage this is Macchi 205.

when shooting with the gun in a plane of World War 2 there are limitations on the synchronized propeller aircraft and cannon shot.
Targett says this: do not shoot below 1000 rpm

in sow exist this type of limitation?

Don't you think it's funny only Italian aircraft had this kind of limitation?

Synchronized MGs were invented in WWI.
In WWII,that kind of stuff must already been well knew by all aircraft producers.

Well you better also make sure the guns in your Spitfire are heated up enough to fire and the air pressure in the tanks has built up as well :D

I wonder if other planes like the 109's had a similar restriction?

in sow we have complex engine management and also army limitation for type of engine.
yes yes also 109 have limitation
also p51
and another airplane have this limitation regard army or prexure or engine rpm.
Sow have complex engine management not is il-2.

a.) Never heard of it, and
b.) I definitely don't want this feature in the game.

The Macchi info is irrelevant, in what situation do have less than 1000rpm?
On the ground or you have a stalled engine.
In the latter situation you don't need the prop anymore...

Spit: This would kill instant action on full real servers - imagine you have to fly around for 15min till you can pop your first round.
That would be so AWSOME!

No.

Well, it's not like I cared, because I never fly red, but anyway

Why, don't you spend at least 15 minute to gain altitude after your takeoff?

15min?

I'm fine with 4.500, takes what, ~8min?

What the heck are you doing up there anyway?
You cant dive much more than 2000min because of the speed build-up.
Sure, you could brake, but then; why go up so hight in the first place?

BTT:

I just downloaded all German Fighter Manuals of the 109/190 and could NOT find similar restrictions, at least not for an airplane while in air.

Maybe to be safe from the p51/p47 above your head? Of course that depends by the planeset but you know.. sometimes you can be bounced by Hurricanes while you are at 5km.

BTW 15min can be the time needed to climb at altitude and reach the hot zone. ;)

Well, stupid things as taking off from runway also kills instant action. Maybe it should not be in "full real" servers too?

yes is stupid if pilot is stupid but if pilots is intelligent not take off incident engine management is complex and i loock only stupid peoples in hyperlobby whit il-2 stupid peples wanna play in arcade mode and not in itelligent simulation mode.

if you wanna play in arcade mode return to play at PAC-MAN whit stupid VIDEO GAME.

No need to be insulting, xilon!
But i agree, "full real" and instant action don't go well together!
To be a good fighter pilot one has to manage his workload like engine management, cooling management, hydraulic pressure, pneumatic pressure, fuel management, oxygen management,
AND
have situational awareness, fly the plane to get tactical advantage, know the opponent.
and much more.
anything else is arcade!!!

I think il2 has something like ages 7+ on the box and I bet sow will too, so you can argue until you are blue in the face about arcade, until you are shot down by a super brat :-P

Here i disagree with you, "shoot_the_goose".
A "super brat", by my definition, doesn't have the attention span needed to climb the learning curve for almost real "full real" :-D
